I hope this first appearance is AT LEAST a week
I love those patch notes! No more camera bs when you fast travel or cart! Investigation sorting!
So if Iām understanding it right the new mode is basically the just like the Ur-Dragon in Dragonās Dogma right? Sounds good to me. Why limited time though?
Somewhat, but I donāt think itās a global progress thing, but rather Session specific, So definitely good for large- ish groups
Limited is to generate hype and get people to come back Iām sure. Still, since they said itās coming back thatās good enough for me. I have no plans to drop this game any time soon anyway

- Now: Search for an Online Session based on your play history.
- (Cannot find a previous met player if theyāve left the Online Session.)
- Flash Pod effectiveness against Tempered Monsters will gradually decline after multiple uses, and will cease to have any effect at all after a certain point.
- To coincide with the Tempered Monsterās increased resistance to flash pods, the special rewards from Tempered Monster Investigations have been reworked to produce better results.
- Threat Level 1 Special Rewards will now produce Warped Feystones.
- Threat Level 2 Special Rewards will now produce Shining Streamstones.
- Threat Level 3 Special Rewards will produce Shining Streamstones more frequently.
Happy about the flash pod nerf cause that shit makes too many monsters too trivial. I feel like they should just add that to EVERY monster though, not just tempered. Might even give a reason to use the Blindsider skill if it would get you a couple extra knockdowns
It reminds me of some of the stuff that happens in Warframe. It would be better if it worked globally instead of being lobby based but at least you can matchmake specifically into it.
This game just keeps getting better and better!!
Ivy being able to be cultivated is a godsend, as is selling all trade-in Items.
Flashpod nerf was inevitable since it was becoming the new hame, with people flashlocking TEDs like Toaster.
Man, solo Temp. Jho with Hammer is excruciating.
Like, itās not hard to actually kill him cause items, but itās really hard to kill him both without carting and in a timely manner. I havenāt been able to get lower than 18 minutesā¦
The New Armor set looks sick, however will the stats be good that people will actually wear it though? Thatās what Iām wondering since their are some pretty sweet looking gears currently, but due to stats bonuses, you just donāt see people wearing them.
Beta has thigh windows. That is all I wanted.
Two really successful Kulve Taroth sieges so far; my group managed to break the horns and carve.
Now to do this with my other files, lol.
Yo, this monster is HELLA fun to fight AND thereās some potentially amazing rewards. There are at least 2 DIFFERENT LVL4 WIDE SHELLING GLs(!!!) And even a new lvl4 normal shell with a high amount of awaken sleep element
I just wanna say screw you golden Gajalakas! Those little twerps have knocked me into so many of Kulveās attacks itās not even funny. Theyāre the real boss fight.
Edit:
Apparently thereās a couple of Tsuchinokos on the new map
Cannot wait to get in and hunt this heifer!!
What are the best tips in general to take this thing down?
I use dual blades on one account and bow guns for the other.
Thereās no point in getting Kulve alpha armor. The Beta armor has all the secondary skills with just one level lower.
Bring lots of fire resistance. The whole point is to break stuff so part breaker helps a lot. Collect all the tracks you can. As a bow gun user you should definitely use piercing ammo because this guy is HUGE. His resistances change a lot during the fight so Iām not really sure what element to use. The horns and gems are the most valuable parts so aim for the head every chance you get. During the last phase get to its side or run the hell away when it stands up on 2 legs. You do not wanna mess with that attack. And most importantly kill the crap outta those dam golden Gajalakas. They are aggressive as hell and will hit you as soon as you forget about them. Ok maybe thatās not the most important part but I hate those things.
Definitely not completely true because the chest piece has two Crit Boost which is rare, same with the legs. If you already have enough decos then yeah itās fine.
Only the chest piece has level 2 crit boost. Legs has level 2 peak performance.
I been hunting Kulve all day and it doesnāt drop any glimstones. I want to complete itās armor.
Armorās pretty good.
