I use the Kirin glaive with max thunder attack although thatās just my personal preference. I am looking to upgrade once I get back to my ps4.
I have seen the following and their variations being pretty popular.
There is a 100% crit build for the odo glaive using the weakness exploit and other affinity based decoration.
Then there is the Diablos glaive build where you max your raw attack
The best glaives to make a build around are probably Nergi, Odo and Diablose ones. For the kinsect sever boost with the max speed bug equipped.

The Odo Glaive with elementless and Teostraās technique is the most common one I see on hunts.

Odo weapons are generally pretty cool.
The dual blades are called Sin. So keeewl ._.
Grinding to get Sin for my dual blade save and Karma for my bow gun playthrough.
I have the 2nd to the last tier of both weapon trees.
So yeah, Iāve catched alot of Cliffords. You can nickname me "THE DOG CATCHER!!"

A friend managed to hit for 2k damage with the greatsword lol
I gotta vent about dumb people. I put up a quest to hunt a tempered Barroth and a tempered Rathian. We killed the Barroth real quick, so I head to the little jungle area of the wastes to find the Rathion. Well after I attack it thinking the other 3 guys are right behind me I get a pop-up saying parts broken for a pink Rathian. They were across the map fighting the wrong monster. So I get on my mic and tell them, and they donāt believe me. One of them kept calling me a troll and asking everyone else to kick me. When they finally kill the pink one and the quest didnāt end, they all decide that it was my fault they attacked the wrong one since it was already on the map when they joined and not the tempered green one. All three dropped out of the quest because they didnāt want to āreward a stupid little trollā. Jokes on them though cuz when I finished I got an elementless jewel.

I have yet to experience that level of stupidity in my game. The worst that happens to me is when the guy who keeps dying leaving the quest or dumbasses who kill the monster in a capture quest.
People killing monsters on a Capture Quest annoy the monkey out of me. Itās like they intentionally donāt even bother reading what the mission is all about.
I donāt necessarily mind the deaths, because that happens, and some people may not necessarily be the best players, so I can understand when some people die more than others.
However, at the very least, read the Mission Statement if it says āSlayā or āCaptureā that much would help. They even have different symbols for them as well, so when Iām trying to capture a monster and you have idiots still smashing it to pieces eventually killing it, yes, that frustrates me.
Even more so if itās a Tempered Quest.
The two monsters whom have killed me more so than anything else was Tempered Kirin and Tempered Deviljho (the Optional quest). Temp Jho is probably the new most annoying monster on my list now even outclassing Temp Kirin, simply due to how much damage he does per hit, and the multiple hit-boxes this freak has when moving around.
That capture thing is annoying as shit. Like just check if itās a capture quest. Also, if a Monster is trapped why are you still beating the fuck out of itā¦ God people are annoying.
Mostly I play with Japanese and Korean people due to the timezone so itās not too bad for me but it also means there is never any communication

There are always decos and streamstones to grind for. Or the crown trophies (another hundred hours)
I donāt even know how to get crowns. I usually end up getting down randomly.
