It’s not too bad because it’s lobbies of 16 on a dedicated server, not a party of 4. You can join your friends pretty easy too. The whole squad/clan/guild thing could be implemented better. I’ve got a feeling that could come in an update at some point.
Yes, but you can just join people rooms from your friends list. Either in game or from the PS menu. The ID thing is really only good for people who aren’t in squads, not on each others friends list and in a private room.

3 way cage match between bazelgeuse, anjanath, and tobi. How did the hunters fare as they tried to complete the quest?

Most of the people I group with like to get in the middle of turf wars. Fuck that, I’ll gather up all the materials that drop during the monster fight.
I wanna see a Rathian get attacked by an Anjanath and have a Rathalos show up to save her.
Then I kill them all and turn them into armor.
I’ve come to believe that most people have an inner Leeroy Jenkins that they like to listen to from time to time.
On a related note, one time during one such situation got me to invoke some sort of minor glitch. I had gone behind the Anjanath that was apparently busy and started hitting it, when suddenly it got lifted off. Turns out I didn’t notice that a turf war had started with the Rathalos. The thing is, when it got dropped, damage numbers from the fall popped up on screen as if I was the one who dropped it. Getting dropped by the Rathalos dealt about 1400 damage to it.
The quest to get a Bandit’s Mantle is basically just that lol.
Speaking of what hunter’s tools are you guys using? I’m liking the Vitality Mantle a lot as it lets me avoid damage bleeding through blocking.

He’s definitely a lot easier for some weapons than others. That’s true for a lot of Monsters but being able to block/dodge his charge and tunnell is huge for that fight. Also abuse ice weapons.
