The Monster Hunter Thread: A Whole New World

I’m aware, I use the charm and already have it upgraded to 4, but it still would have been useful even back in base World to have options. With only 1 deco I basically had to use the charm and a specific piece of armor if I wanted to use Handicraft.

True, forgot all about it lol. But it would be nice to have a few handicraft jewels so I could use a different charm

Screwed around today and managed to get in a gold rathian investigation!!
Now I’m just one piece away from getting the best CB in the game.

Gold Rathian CB obtained…

Might as well go for the Longsword to be done with it.

Finally got some free time and was able to pop MR 159. However some of my friends are already MR 350, with one at MR 423…. I guess their are advantages for working at home. Guiding Lands can be a snorefest.

Many times running Guiding Lands, my brain just shutoffs and goes into auto-pilot mode simply due to how much time you’re putting in there. Hunting tempered elders for mats, the other monster for mats, mines/bones and the leveling of the lands.

Looking forward to the Thursday update, it should be fun.

Lastly, been asking for this forever, and it’s clear that I’m not the only one…

Seriously, how has this collaboration NOT happened yet? Come on Capcom.

Ver. 11.01 features the following adjustments to the Guiding Lands

Adjustments have been made to make the Guiding Lands easier to play. Future updates will feature more adjustments to make it easier to play.

  • Adjustment 1: Region Level change fluctuation adjusted
    • In the Guiding Lands, you can obtain different materials at each level, so adjustments have been made to how levels increase/decrease to make it easier to explore.
    • Region Level 1 – 2: No changes
    • Region Level 3 – 6: Fluctuates at the same rate as region level 2 did before the update
    • Region Level 7: Fluctuates at the same rate as region level 3 did before the update
  • Adjustment 2: Adjusted the drop rate of special tracks obtained from monsters in the Guiding Lands
    • Unanalyzed special tracks are now easier to obtain, making it easier to lure out specific monsters and control your region levels.
    • They are also now guaranteed upon capturing a monster, or carving from the monster’s body or broken part.
  • Adjustment 3: Region levels can now be fixed
    • Settings have been added so that region levels will not fluctuate, and you can explore the Guiding Lands freely with fixed levels.
    • Fixed region levels are applied per player even during multiplayer.
    • If you set region levels to fixed, your own region levels will not fluctuate whether you’re the quest leader or just joining another player’s quest.
    • You can fix region levels at the quest board when you select the Guiding Lands.
  • Adjustment 4: Expedition Objective added to fixed region play
    • Added a “Fixed Region” parameter that can be set when departing to the Guiding Lands, or used as search criteria.
    • Use this setting when you want to let players know you’re exploring with fixed levels, or if you want to search for expeditions using fixed levels.
    • This parameter will not fix region levels.
    • For instructions how to fix region levels, please see Adjustment 3.
  • Adjustment 5: Locating monsters in the Guiding Lands will no longer affect region level
    • The design of the Guiding Lands has been changed, as region level changing upon discovering a monster in the locale had an unintended effect.

Fuck You Capcom! Fuck You!

Why, some will say? You assholes at Capcom have made such a stupidly drug addicted game that many times that I should be studying or doing something important, I’m instead sitting half naked in front of my screen playing this cursed game!

Layered HR Sets now?

I haven’t invested this much time into a game since the days of SF2 (where honestly, I don’t think any game invest since then will ever truly match, the early-mid 90s of SF2 were the most magical time I’ve ever been around period), and that’s saying a lot.

Co-signed!!
Last 2 Capcom games that even come close to the amount of time put into this game is SFIV and Resident Evil 5

Beat the stupid monkey, twice even because I wanted the beta helm.

Might go for the HBG too since it has high raw and a lot of auto-reload.

Finished the Rajaang quest…used an SOS for random assist.

Very cool hunt with only 1 cart and an awesome turf war scene with an Azure Rathalos!!

Yeah…SSJ Ape got Hands!!

Motherf#@ suplexed a dragon and causally YEETED!! to the side!!

Tempered Goku is something else, we got Volcano lvl 7 in Guiding Lands and a friend of mine had three of him in stock. The ape is straight up legit, I had 200 HP, and he dropped it down to like 3% in one mega hit, forgot what it was. I was running Blessing 5 too, although it didn’t proc during that hit.

This monkey moves like lightning, one minute he’s in front, than he’s gone and bam, you just got smacked by its Kamehameha from behind.

Incredibly fun fight.
