A professional or pro means you are doing something for money. An amateur means you are doing something for no money or for fun or for free…
People always get confused when people think that calling someone an amateur is the same as calling someone a beginner.
There are amateurs in any given game or in any given sport that will own the professionals for free.

People need to realize that, from an athletic standpoint, Greg Hardy is far beyond just about any heavyweight in MMA. Typically weight classes above 185 don’t get this type of athlete and the only reason he is in the sport is because he is blacklisted in the NFL.

Agreed. He’s green as hell, but most heavyweight lacks the ability to exploit it. Someone like DC or Stipe would cook him with ease.
