I get pissed off because it’s the only reaction I have to inability to adapt quickly.
I try something, it works. So I try it again. If I’m lucky it’ll work a second time, but it usually doesn’t. Then I try for it a THIRD TIME and that’s when it never works and my brain packs up and goes on vacation for the rest of the day. It’s the part of me I hate with a passion but have never been able to change.
I mean THE LITERAL CONCEPT OF BLOCKING PISSES ME OFF. Holy shit just put a gun to my head already. No, I can’t just sit there and block, I HAVE to attack somehow, otherwise I’ll be sitting there and never get out.
Someone literally needs to slap me in the face, because I have all this potential sitting in my ass that never makes its way to my head.
And besides which, if I don’t try and change now, well then I really shouldn’t be playing fighting games.

See this is why studying fraaaaaaame data can be useful. Doing the math and seeing that an attack out of initiative usually leads to you getting punched the face makes one less inclined to.

Blocking isn’t pretty or fun at all but it’s necessary if the situation calls for it. Blocking, for however long, requires patience and it can also have a psychological effect on the attacker because if you’re constantly blocking their mixups, chances are they might start to panic because it shows that you know how to defend whatever they’ve been throwing at you.

But to Dippy XAQ is not a good / noteworthy player because of this.
And I don’t think he’s ever enjoyed one minute of the game. Ever. He’s never mentioned trying to get better, and for ages he hated the very fact the game existed. I’ve been riding this game’s nuts since forever.

Yup. so im not some random doujin-playing-only, anime-fag-watching, gulty-gear-fanboy-noob (still a noob at this though), cosplay-performing, or whatever else you may have associated w/ the ppl that consider MB to be a serious game. Simply put: I play fighters…exclusively. Much like Julien and his adversary Jeron, my roster expands from the shittiest games (TF) to the more ‘popular’ ones (3s,bleh). You name it ive probably played it…hardcore lol (sucks at snk games though, go figure). LOL ask Jeron how i get down in VS! (which you should all be playing btw :arazz: )
