You do understand that the adjustments they had to make were due to Ciel regaining properties that she lost in the Original PS2 mode, right? You lucksacked into a character you were more prepared for than you should have; a lot of that crap is not going to work if you play them on console (until Ver.B comes out sometime in the Spring).
