I seem to remember some arcade shumps getting pc demos, but no pc release.
i’m almost certain that this won’t hit pc. i don’t really see the point in them taking a doujin-ish approach when they’ve already broken through to the arcades and the ps2. to me, releasing this game on the pc would seem like a step backward.
the likely reasons for why fransu pan and ecole released the pc demo are:
-
ps2 release doesn’t have playable white len (duh).
-
this will allow and encourage people to learn and discover properties/combos/strats for white len at the comfort of their home, then they won’t have as much of a adjustment period when they play her at the arcade.
and dunno… i kind of have a feeling that white len will end up being a bottom-tier gimmick character, just like her counterpart.
react does have online, the connection varies depending on the
location of the opponent. if it has usb i dont see a reason y it
wouldnt work, dunno.
some dude in korea put up combo clips on youtube

second one looks cooler, but the first one deals way more damage
Yeah, that’s really worth all of the manhours it took them to put the demo together just for the demo.
If there is no PC release at this point I will be shocked. Who said it had to be a doujinshi release; they could very well put this out as a commercial PC product.
it’s already been confirmed that the ‘new’ ver. b is going to be ported to the ps2. i see no reason why they would think it will be lucrative to release this on the pc at all.
and i don’t think they could have spent that much time making this demo. it’s only 50 mb with just white len and len playable on the white len stage. they probably didn’t have anything new to write except for the new character engine for white len.
Whoa, really?
That was a close one. You saved me from order the joystick-breaking version.
…and the new game engine itself, which has no real PC counterpart. Sure they could use a lot of the MB:FT codebase to produce the demo, but a lot of the game (and nearly all of the assets) have to be overhauled for the PC version.
Do you have any experience in software development? Even a demo like this takes far more time to put together than you think. This is no weekend project.
Meh it took me forever, but at least I got bubz.

Playlist (23 videos, 52 matches)
I think I recorded at least one match of nearly everyone in the tournament. Only players missing are Alex G, and a couple of other people I’m forgetting. :x
damn, good job on compiling the list
and thank you for doing it.
But wait, there’s more! If you buy within the next five minutes, we’ll not only throw in a free loli, but these videos too:
– So I accidently left the DVR recording after the finals ended. After a small break, they kept on playing anyway (because they’re hardcore and shit), and this is what I got… until the disc ran out.
Zar vs. Spooky (Winners Final) – Unedited
kenmastersx vs. Zar (Losers Final) – Unedited
Sp00ky vs. Zar (Grand Final) – Unedited
One of the other bonuses about Google Video is that there is a direct download link if you want to save it to your hard drive. The other split matches (the losers final and grand finals) will also be available on Google at some point.
LOL Jeffrey is bored out of his mind now…

@ XAQ:
Yeah you have a great Mech Hisui, and your Sion and V. Akiha are good too. My Hisui is still pure ass, and fuck do I ever love to block.
I’m pretty much positive that Hisui has NO FUCKING WAKE UP OPTIONS WHATSOEVER, let alone the tools to really get someone the fuck off of her. After playing Sp00ky and ZTB it feels like I’m playing EFZ all over again D:.
Love’d to play you again :D!
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum :lovin: :lovin: :lovin:
no homo
The 2 main issues I have with playing Hisui are 1: getting knocked down in the corner. Backdashing is useless because hers is kinda slow and you don’t go ANYWHERE when you’re in the corner. x_X 623B is too slow to use and only hits directly above her. Heat activation is useful from time to time but it’s not hard to catch on. 2:Air-to-air situations. Her air moves are pretty weak in the sense that they are easily beat out/air thrown and it’s a struggle to get the opponent onto the ground and utilize her ground pressure since a lot of the game consists of jumping around in neutral situations.
She just dies in the corner. Heat activation gets baited. Backdash is ass. Wake-up shield is suicide. Wake up 2.A is suicide. Wake up 2.B or 5.B works once in a while (since both normals have this absurd priority). 623A/B/C works once in a while. The one option I thought I could use was Hisui-doken, but the STUPIDITY of damn thing is that if my opponent is standing right next to me (or even jumping right next to me as I’m getting up) it’ll like ‘weeze’ right through them and I’ll either be standing in the same spot or have crossed them up somehow. In all honesty it doesn’t really help, and all of these options get stuffed by any worthwhile meaty.
Like I stopped playing EFZ because I was blocking for two minutes straight and here I am doing it all the fuck over again. If I wanted to block all day CvS2 would be the only damn game I play (which I play seriously anyway).
Fuck.
Well, what characters can get their opponent off of them easily on wakeup in Melty Blood?
Really. Some characters have better answers than others (Shiki/Nanaya reversal backdash is solid, Sion/Aoko EX 623s will eat anything alive), but they all carry some sort of risk.
It’s nothing like EFZ. EFZ you get knocked down in the corner and you fucking die. You have to guess right with your blocking 5-6 times to escape alive. Your wakeup options are just as poor in MB, but the key difference is that characters offensive options are significantly worse. No one gets free ambigious crossups and overhead situtations in MB. Oki in MB revolves around two things, really:
-Meaty vs. throw attempt.
-Air attack to doublejump overhead vs. landing into 2B/throw.
Once you actually start blocking, they can’t do a whole lot unless you try to stick a round peg in a square hole. However, not doing anything out of blockstrings is -ED, as they can sit there and perpetutate between more pressure strings (which charges their meter) or throw. So there is the need to take a -ED risk, because the negative expected damage is still better than the expected damage of the current situtation.
can somebody translate wat this says plz

After talking to Saiyd it occured to me that I’m treating this game like I play much any Capcom fighter, like I should be worrying about match ups, or using certain moves against certain characters; just basically playing like a robot that read from the book on how to play the game.
Like when Saiyd tells me to be random I think he’s joking because being random in any other game (namely Capcom fighters) doesn’t work. It’s generally a bad idea, but it works in MB, it totally does (outside of foolish things like constant wake up 2.A).
The way he plays Akiha and Aoko now is 20,000% more different then how he played them at NEC, it’s like he’s not even the same person anymore. And now I understand that blocking really is an option because you can’t attack forever (thought it feels that way sometimes) and that throwing out that RANDOM attack / defensive measure is necessary.
So yah, I agree with you, thanks for the insight ;O.
I need some heavy work on my offensive strings it seems though, but I’ll work on it!
