The Melty Blood : Act Cadenza (PS2) thread~

Bump for the breaking news that the MB:AC wiki data is now fully backed up on the PishiWiki. Yippie.

yah so I’m not having ANY problem iad’ing with stick.

Combos are down too, it’s just the actual act of using the stick in a match that I have to accustom myself too.

That, and fucking SRK’ing to the left. GAAAHH

STEP ON IT

SQUEEZE BUBZ

At least you’re learning to use stick. x_X I just don’t think it’d be worthwhile for me to invest my time in using a stick for this game. Especially when I’m finally able to pull off more complex maneuvers/combos more consistently as of late.

Wow more pad warriors in here besides me…good to know.

Man I go to Houston for one weekend and I see I got quite a bit to learn in this game!!!

Hey I’m a pad warrior myself, it’s just that if this game is available at TGA I need to practice stick ;P!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I see at TGA its stick only, hmmm interesting dilemma there!!!

Wait a minute. After glancing over the wiki is this really true?

If I 4B with Hisui the water doesn’t actually have to hit the character for it to drain? Meaning so long as the ‘graphic’ of the water overlaps their sprite, it will drain? I was under the strict impressiong that the end of the water (where it arcs to the ground) was the sweet spot, which I believe is unblockable? I’ve been trying to set up strings in the corner to keep her at the right distance (as much as to be safe as it was to position the water right).

:I

You still have to be safe when you do it. Doing a 4B randomly will get you to each a crouch attack to the crotch. And it’s not really unblockable more then it’s just a ‘special’ low. If you crouch it takes meter but does not knock down and is unsafe unless you have a dust out or something to keep them from just raping you.

Oh I know, I never threw it out unless I had dust anyway, but now I know I don’t have to be positioned absolutely perfectly in the corner to do it.

I remember seeing a match where another player threw out a 4B near the end and both players were low on health. I don’t know if that was intentional or by accident but needless to say, the match ended painfully.

I’m going to borrow my sisters digital camera and just tape my little practice session with Hisui tonight. I STILL can’t do j.B, j.C, j.B, j.C throw. Also, I noticed I have to do the j.C during the iad exceptionally late. You guys can point out all the stupid shit ;p.

Also, what exactly is that extra action button supposed to be? I have it labeled as throw right now, and even then I’m not using it D:.

STILL can’t get j.B, j.C, j.B, j.C throw? Damn, I think I’ll make a short clip with that just so you can loop it over and over.

Well I CAN do j.B, j.C, j.B, j.C, but then they’re too far up for me to throw them.

ALSO I PUT IN THE PISHI WIKI IN MY SIG AND IM ALSO PRACTICING LEN YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY

D:

You’re not super doublejumping. You have to tap the jump cancel command (for five frames or less, if I remember correctly) to get enough height to land the throw.

The address is wrong. It should just be http://ikusat.mac.org/mbac/

lol, it’s in wiki.

Yeah I know it’s various actions, but what various actions? Throw / auto shield / heat activation, what?

Also, Dippy, how /where would I input that? 2abc,5c,6c,???

Thanks for the heads up on the link.

i goofed around with hisui for the past 20 min or so but i didn’t really have much problem capping her combos with air throw.

5a, 5b, 5c, 2c, 6c > ja, jb, jc > jb, jc > throw feels pretty stable.
2a, 2b, 2c, 5c (2 hits), 6c > jc > jb, jc > throw feels pretty stable too (although deals less damage).

5a, 5b, 5c, 2c, 6c > jc, 236a > jb, jc > throw feels okay too but it seems not as reliable, considering it’s hard to keep the number of hits on 236a consistent.

i also fucked around with her aad. 5a, 5b, 5c (2 hits), 41236c, 5c (2 hits), 5c (2hits), 6c > jb, jc > jb, jc > throw does shit load of damage.

i don’t play hisui but the first two combos i put up there are fairly easy i think… unless it’s on somebody tiny like miyako or len. dunno, maybe i’ll mess around more with hisui just for the heck of it.

so yea the point is… even a guy like me who doesn’t play hisui can do it so i dunno why you’re having a problem. maybe you’re panicking before the throw and unintentionally mashing on direction? that’s the problem one of my friends had.

The E button does a multiple things, on neutral you get heat burst/circuit spark, 4/6 + E is throw, and 1/2/3 + E gives dodge.

There is a thread about 1+E on the official bbs, apparantly japanese doesn’t like the fact you can get a dodge with it, because you don’t have to let your guard by going to 2, thus it’s easier to dodge charged moves on reaction and punish afterwards, making them somehow useless versus good players.

I can do the combos you listed oddly enough Orka.

It’s just that 2abc5c6c, jb jc jb jc throw is the one combo she has that’s universal if I’m not mistaken. Much everythign else is depend on if they’re crouching or light weight or what have you.

Also, aad = ? Is that hisuidoken / saturday night feevah?

hmm, you seemingly need to add a very slight delay between 2c and 5c (1 hit) with most characters. i’ve tried it on arc/warc/ciel/kouma so far. i was able to do it without delay on warachia but that’s probably because he has a huge hit box. are you sure it’s universal?

if i were you, i’d just go straight for xx, 2c, 5c (2 hits), 6c > jc > jb, jc > throw. it ends up being the same number of hits as doing xx, 2c, 5c (1 hit), 6c > jb, jc > jb, jc > throw and the first one actually deals more damage on top of being easier.

aad = another arc drive.
