The Melty Blood : Act Cadenza (PS2) thread~

It’s that stupid kofxi arranged debate all over again…I think I’m in the twilight zone NOOOOO!

well looks like i have another game to kill my life on lol

This game is fucking crazy… been watching this year’s SBO tournament at work all morning… and throughout the day.

I’ll be buying this game first paycheck…gonna be awesome. But where has there been an announcement saying that type B will be ported to arcades? I think it’s a good idea, that way we don’t have a XI fiasco all over again.

I’m not sure being able to move after say, a TK 236+A/B/C will prove to have any real worth, but I’ll be playing around with it regardless.

And yeah, her 2c is definitely faster, good news on that.

Might just be, but didn’t Saturday Night Fever used to always go through the opponent if they blocked it, or am I just thinking things (shit, tells how long it’s been since I played it)?

I ordered a copy of the game yesterday. I’ve never played a Melty Blood game before but I’ve heard lots of good things about it and I’ve been watching lots of match videos lately and it seems to be a very interesting game. Any suggestions on good characters to learn the basics of the game? I’ll probably end up trying everybody out in training mode but I’d appreciate suggestions.

Try Shiki Tohno, Ciel, or maybe Warc to start with. Warc is the easiest to ‘learn’. Ciel and Tohno are a bit more complicated but still good choices to ease into the game with, imho.

Taking a look at your sig I’d say Tohno or Warc would be a good idea, though it’s entirely up to you of course.

;p

Just got the game yesterday and it is a ton of fun.

I’ve been brushing up on my Kohaku and I’m starting to beast pretty hard with her. But now I have a question. is there any good reason to play Kohaku or Hisui solo or am I better off playing them as a Tag Team and using Hisui for extra damage/hits/stun damage?

Well both characters are quite good, but the two of them together really is the best option. Though I consider it Kohaku with Hisui assist, and the stuff ‘lost’ from playing Hisui on her own (ie the throwing random projectiles in the form of books, vases, and so on) is obviously not that much of a loss at all.

I do believe their ‘infinite’ is no longer in the game, so make note of that.

Someone want to tell me what Akiha did at around the 1:45 mark?

Did she cancel her launcher into a throw on whiff?

(I’m not an Akiha player so I don’t know~)

Does anyone know the arcade set up for the buttons? An explaination/diagram would be great.

Also, listening to the MB OP to hype myself up for the game. ^___^

i think it’s…

might be wrong, but i think that’s it. also, act cadenza has a shorter, crappier opening sequence. D:

Yeah Orka has it right.

On both accounts, I was totally let down by the opening sequence.

Ooh I should have my copy in the mail today~

;______;

I have a copy of the game but I’m still awaiting my tools that allow me to play imports. Dammit this is killing me. T_T

It’s her dodge move (2A+B).

Damn, completely forgot about that.

Shit looks just like her launcher.

I miss the days of triple OTG launching with AkaAkiha.

:frowning:

Can Kouma not combo with his Last Arc without having to do the throw variation of the move? I was never able to connect in the arcade version either…so I don’t know if I just suck or what.

I just got the game, can anybody put in the control scheme for the arcade. How are the buttons there? Is it played on a versus cabinet or on another one. Six in a row, design? anybody. I wanna do it the same as in the arcades, you’ll never know when you get the to play this game in the arcade!

never -.-

a = weak
b = mid
c = strong
d = shield

kouma’s last arc doesn’t seem to be guaranteed for whatever reason. that’s only a speculation on my part, but i’ve never seen it connect in japanese match videos.
