U mean like only one hit and then have to tap the up direction right away?
Anyway, is it possible to do the ground combo first and then tap the up direction? When u talk about the tapping up direction when one of the normal attacks hits the opponent, aren’t referring to the launcher of the air combos?
Exactly, simply tap an up direction as the move is hitting the opponent. Most ground normals are jump cancellable if they hit the opponent but they don’t have to be launchers. So yes you can do a ground combo first and then tap the up direction provided that the last hit is jump cancellable.

We rushed Ruu down but he seemed more interested in Arcana Heart than playing mb with us so we didnt get many casuals with him =/ The tourney itself was pretty small also and mb wasn’t on the big screen for finals which was wack. The event overall wasn’t a great experience but at least we finally got to play against a jap player and did well against him. We also played against Nuki (who sucks) Tokido (decent but obviously like 2 week old warc) and mint (my v.sion was way better than his).
Nuki is godlike in 3s though, and Ruu is godlike in arcana.

Yes and no. A lot of random matches were recorded. But we were told finals were not to be recorded, so I did not bring my camera, only to find out later that it didn’t go on the big screen so the staff didn’t record the finals either.
Damn Showdown was full of BULLSHIT!!!
Man makes me glad I chose to pass and go to North Carolina this coming weekend…

How do I change the ps2 version to the arcade (version A?) version?
Its in the options menu. There’s “arcade” and “original”
I dunno why you’de want it on arcade, but you can change it to that.
mebbe to see sion infinite… or the high unblockable glitch on wake up with some chars? beats me. :o
come to think of it, though. you gotta switch back to ver. a if you want to practice certain things. like, len’s air 236c super flash reversal. the move lost invincibility in ver. b console but she still has it in the arcades.
