Welcome KBR, very cool that you come in here. I’d like to see this match, as I think you’re in for a surprise on what Jill is capable of. Either way, you’re a very smart player and this will be a VERY interesting match.

Thanks. I’m just doing theory work on her, I don’t know her options as I’ve never played anyone that plays her. But I do know better than to underestimate a underused character! I do think that the wrong part of your thought process is thinking of the characters as single units, as this is a team based game.

Yeah mainly paulow will have to watch out for haggar assist, so what KBR said earlier was pretty spot on about snapping out hulk and killing haggar. So a match with one of my favorite jill’s and my favorite hulks will be godlike, good luck to you both.

So I’ve been trying to find an answer to this.

On incoming, I like to somersault feint. However, sometimes the first somersault hits at the top, so they’re really high, and I’m already going into the second feral, so I can’t just j.HS. Roundhouse doesn’t seem to work, and I can do a second somersault. How should I convert this?

I guess I should try flip kick.

yeah flip kick should help you convert off of a situation like that you could cancel into like 2 or 3 of them and then Feral M or 236+M

Hey, guys! I lost 10 - 8 to Kane Blueriver… Unfortunately we couldn’t record the set. I made a few mistakes, but I guess it was great anyway.
I was successful in avoiding the initial mixup (grab/ Lariat assist) most of the times with Machine Gun Spray or crouching moves (landed some happy birtdays). I wanted to win, but it was pretty hard.

I find it cool though Kane was using Xfactor on Jill everytime… I’m sure he uses to pop the Xfactor on the first character, but I felt some fear of Jill… haha Probably the unknown matchup. Thanks for the tips, guys.

Besides this, my Hawkeye really stole the show. I played him very patiently. Probably Kane can say that my Clint is no joke.

PS: what did Kane think of your Jill after he got a chance to face her?

By the way i watched your game against Naiki (the guy who played tron/frank/IF) , seriously that guy can confirm from Everything and everywhere, his team synery is akward but at the same time awesome.

So the answer to this, I’ve found, is not to somersault too early, otherwise I can’t get my two flip kicks in.

The combo afterwards should be:

Somersault > cancel > flip > cancel > flip (no cancel) > somersault > roundhouse > feral up / upback > j.HS > s.H, b.H > cartwheel > somersault > MGS ~650k

Jill/ Vergil is pretty bad because Rapid Slash pushes the enemy away and Jill uses both bounces…
Jill/ Dorm/ Hawk is not bad, but you’re not going to have the stronger composition with either Jill or Dorm teams…

I’m having tests with Jill/ Doom/ Hawkeye… It has been great so far… Let’s see them in action…

Perhaps the best Incoming in corner is Call Strider–> Arrow Kick–> 22S–> 9S Dash.

This is “the best” because it either crosses up or doesn’t depending on the corner and what character you do it on. The 9S dash makes it so either cross up or not, you can get continue comboing. Also, it’s meaty IIRC so you can setup layered mixups afterward.

Out of Corner there’s many things you can do and depending on Jill’s position it gets even sillier. After coming from a TAC infinite, you can just Cartwheel for a 50/50 and go into the infinite on a second character.

Frame tighten the mixup. You’re either not meaty-ing it by mistiming The vajra call or the 9S.

Assuming this is a corner incoming mixup, if I call Strider any later, he goes completely over their head I’ve been messing with other ways to start it though, like c.M or roundhouse > cancel, and it seems to work better. I like the idea of this mixup though.
