After watching that video, I did a little test regarding El Fuerte Flying Giga Buster and Rufus’ Big Bang Typhoon. You can get him in that state from anywhere but where you can get sucked in. The exception to this is that you can get him at point blank range with a reversal.
Kai could have won the set easily if he had only used Quesadilla Bomb when Rufus had pixel health. Don’t understand why he doesn’t use QBomb more.
I don’t understand why he didn’t use far RH more…

Here’s another question I gots.
As we know. Vs Blanka it’s not a good idea to be running around due to blanka balls. What other characters would you say it’s best to stay put? I find it a bit tricky to hold the sweet spot versus Honda, Dhalsim, and Seth. I’m a bit iffy about Bison in that respect.
Speaking of Bison, blocking scissors, is there anything I can do to punish or a getaway that works for you. This is what I feel is most dangerous when facing bison, weathering his pressure.
Edit: the fact that people mention Kai needing to use q-bomb makes me happy.
dudley when he has meter, ex machine gun is fast. Against bison if you wanna be fancy you can try to ex run through his scissors and RSF, but it seems since his psycho crusher got buffed more people use that.

You can add Rog to that list as well. as for Bison, i feel he’s on the of easiest of the charge characters to fight because his wake up is fairly weak. But addressing your question about scissors, you can punish it with a Spark on block. I think thats the only thing that is guaranteed to hit. Ex back run out to absorb both hits of his scissors if he decides to follow up with another one after you blocked the 1st and if he does do it again you can tortilla after your ex back run and it will catch him. Other then that you always have the back run jump (i forget the name). And bison can’t get you therefore relieving you of any pressure he may have had on you.

But yeah. I have to agree. Just saying “he shoulda done dis, shoulda done dat” really is not a viable critique.
the only thing i wanna know bout kai is why the hell diddnt he use ultra 2. people who i play against know that i can armor cancel it so they give me way more breathing room when i get knocked down. i rather have it for that fear rather than ultra 1(barring a blanka or honda MU)

No doubt Kai is hands down an incredible El Fuerte player. Any inspiring El Fuerte player will most likely agree.
Also, every El Fuerte player has their own fighting style (to call their own) and no one can argue otherwise. It what makes El Fuerte such a fun character to play! =D
So let’s not get on each other’s cases about being “cute” because I believe we are all trying to improve our game as well as look out to improve others based on our own experiences (new or old).
Next year El Fuerte will definitely be in the Top 8 at EVO 2011!

Using (Ex) Quesadilla Bomb SMARTLY is (almost) like being Ryu and doing DP FADC Ultra or Rog’s Headbutt Into Ultra…it’s a Free Win!
Kai is really good at using Ultra 1 after baiting jumps so I guess he’s just going with what he knows!
I play Big Marcus’s Bison here in Chicago and I can’t beat him at all with El Fuerte. He has a counter to practically everything I try and do. I would LOVE to see some of you better El Fuerte players get in some matches with him. He goes by “ihatepa” on XBL, tell him ReyArt sent you if you ever message him.
I’ve seen him do full screen ex kikkokens or 3 ex hazanshus in a row.
Kai doesn’t play the proper way, he doesn’t need to. It should be obvious in his choices and by watching his gameplay. He is aware of what move would be best in each situation but ultimately he decides what he wants to do.
