Just saw Donnie Yen 1hr ago. Me and my colleague at work approached him and asked for a picture. He’s not exactly the most approachable guy, god damn, lol. You know when you speak to someone but they don’t want to be anywhere near you, lol.
Sorry for bumping 2 threads. I figured this one was more appropriate than the other one.
That’s exactly why he’s in London. I’ve heard a lot of stories about Donnie being difficult to work with so I wasn’t that surprised at his reaction. I genuinely felt that vibe when I approached him calmly. Bear in mind I was at work, working as a head doorman of a night club so I’m not exactly going to approach Donnie like a screaming fan. In fact me and my colleague approached his security guard first and asked if we could take a picture. I think I said something along the lines of “Hi, Mr Yen I’m a huge fan of work what are you currently doing in London”… I said that in a less goofy way. Donnie rolled eye’s and sighed and whilst looking away from me said, “I’m shopping with my wife”. I decided not to ask him anything else after that, lol. His security guard took our picture with my colleague’s phone (not really a close colleague this was our first shift together) I quickly pulled out my phone to take just one picture but his security guard said, “no, ask your colleague to send you the picture I’ve taken”, I agreed but this mofo took 2 days to send the picture to my phone. The whole experience was such a let down I didn’t even care about the picture when I received it.
I’m not sure which is more shocking: How god awful that remake was…or that Batista and that cute MMA chick from Deadpool starred in it.
WTF. I thought their careers were on the upswing after Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy, to be casted in such cinematic garbage. JCVD was the only ‘watchable’ element of it and even his role kinda sucked.
Forgot about this one. I wonder why they’re taking their sweet time putting it out on DVD/BluRay.
Anyway, from the consensus of the reviews and spoilers i’ve seen, it delivered Big-time with the fights and the story was a sweet, simple redemption tale. Only thing is the ending was ‘meh’ and a huge step-back for the character. Not to spoil anything but, you’ll know what i mean when you see it. The character should be past all that by now. WTF.
Otherwise, a good entry that fans will be happy with. I look forward to seeing it when they release the Blu-Ray five years from now.
JCVD got some more B movie gold out atm. Kill’em All.
Stars Daniel Bernardt as the same dude he was in John Wick lol.
Also stars the majorly epic Peter Stormare.
Movie is the usual bullshit, van damme in eastern Europe like the last 20 movies fighting a super villain team of Serbs. His daughter is in it too and gets the goodies out. Check it lol.
Yea you will catch 6 Bullets and pound of flesh on Netflix. I caught Kill em All on Amazon Prime I think?
The one you really wanna find is Enemies Closer, the trailer doesnt do it any justice, i mean sure its a B movie but I think its the best JCVD since his vintage area.
Yeah no lie I was just about to post that ish. I love the idea of Jackie or Jet li as bad guys. Jet Li in Lethal Weapon is still one of the greatest things ever.
