You would think there’s a button the joystick for rage quitting people do it so much. I don’t worry so much about “spam” even though it’s annoying for people… it’s up to them to figure out how to deal with it.

Anybody know any air confirm combos? I always feel like I’m going for jump-ins and eat air hits, so if I try to be preemptive I don’t know how to convert if I hit. Should I be using jumping 2 or 3?

Also, since I’m not really from a MK background, on wakeup, what’s the best way to deal with it? I know you gave me some combos and doing swoop/rising grab, but even if I’m mashing it out I feel like I get stuffed by strings and I can’t really react. It also still seems like I can’t counter-poke with my strings after their strings, like I have to backdash out and try for a jump in or re-establish spacing and try to zone. I’m not sure if it’s just online or what but it’s kinda frustrating. Adding to that, for whatever reason I can’t get reliably f23 MB breath to come out, and 111scoop online. Maybe I’m just not used to the timing/input preciseness or something, but my bnb right now is j2, 223, f23, dash, 111scoop, 3 air grab > laser. I can try 22scoop instead of 111 but yeah, I dunno if I just have to slow it down (or speed it way up) but it just seems unreliable online.

Does anyone know how to eye laser after rising grab? I can’t figure it out… :\

Input the eye laser right after Supes physically grabs the guy going up into the air, but before he throws him down. It’s weird timing, but you have to do it a little pre-emptively. Also, since he switches sides in the air, you have to adjust the direction of the qcf for the laser I believe.

Jump 1,2,3 are all good for Air to air or just to start a combo.

Well… ever since I started using Heat Vision more there has been a drastic improvement… I just can’t help, but feel it’s a little too spam. It feels weird playing a bit of keep away. I still try to mix up combos though. Anyone know a good trait cancel combo?

40% = f2 - 3 -> trait -> f2 -3, mb breath, b3, jump3 , scoop, cr 2, fireball 2, heat vision on a standing opp

good footsie combo, remember, there is a lot of recovery on a whiffed jumping.

always treat f2 as your best friend, i use it like fei longs rekka

i do stuff like f2, 3 trait into either iad, or grab

or f2, trait (grab) or wtv

mix it up, and watch ur opp mash if they dont respect it lol

also, note that cr 2 as an anti air is pretty meh but has a huge hitbox and can trade into forward 2.

sometimes, u can use supermans slide to avoid crossups (but it has massive recovery, so be carefull)

heat zap is godlike

I have 90 all are corner combos though since my mid screen combos are just used to get peeps to the corner faster.

F23, 3, trait, 3 xx MB Breath, Heat zap, F2D1, 3, scoop, 3, Breath 62%? (its 62-65%)
111scoop, 3, trait, 3, MB Breath, Heat Zap, F2D1, 3, Breath 56%

Air to air corner combo: J3, 3 trait, 3 mb super breath, heat zap, f2d1, 3 low scoop, 3 breath 75%
With J1 or J2 its the same just less dmg.

Theres 3 the rest are just the same thing different string. Remember you can only scoop once in a combo, if you have already done it it will be F2D1, 3, Breath after Heat zap.

for punishment purposes, it would seem the best for -6 moves would be to go for

cr 1 into swoop -> cr 2, trait f2-3, mb breath, b3, jump 3, 3, superman punch

also, for -8 moves, cr2, trait, f2-3, etc.

ive been messing around with finishing combos with swoop, into cr 3, walk back a bit, and then air dash 2. can be pretty confusing for opponents

Dont use the uppercut in combos. It scales horribly. If you want to use trait outside of corner just do something like

Cr 1 scoop, F2, MB Breath, Trait, w/e you want to finish

oh i just said for punishment, since its 8 frame startup, and has good range. but yeah it does scale big time

its better to do cr 1 then cr2? suprising

Only time I’d use Cr2 is to AA.

Also, that ending combos with cr3 is good and allows you to go for Supermans Ambigous Crossup.

Scoop, Cr3 , walk back jump airdash, 3, depending how far you walked back determines if you cross up or not.

I like the video, but ending with an air grab and just throwing them out of the corner, and you into it for a little extra damage just always irks me.

i agree 100% but still good to know.

id still end it with superman punch or breath though if they arent about to die

That guy has really good combo videos, but when trying them out; the timings feel a bit too impractical for them to work online, but even with no lag it’s difficult for the timings to get any of them off really efficiently. Unless there’s something I’m not doing! If anyone has any advice would be nice! :smiley:

no its true they are hard, but its still good to know its possible.

True true; I’ve been trying to figure out how to trait cancel in a combo without dropping it. Does anyone have any ideas? Also Superman seems to have really bad crossups too others

actually i find he has good jump priorities, and easy confirms into f2, even from a jump back 1 air to air hit!

jump 3 has cross up properties, so in the corner its mad ambiguous, and i go for it more often in offense. you can even get a f2,3 on a connected jump3 at low angles, into MB breath!

as for trait combos, practice this 1meter bnb (midscreen) this way (its a 46% dmg combo, and easy once u get the timing)

first:
f2 3, trait, its a natural cancel, u dont need to input it in advance. u get that part, try hitting f2, right after the trait. (good practice for your reactions, as u get to really decide what to do after the trait, depending on whether f2,3 hit or got blocked)

if ure able to do this, then ur in business,
learn ur f2 cancel into MB breath, dash, b3 (be quick), jump 3, wait a bit, f2, scoop, into 3, into superman punch = 46% easy

i feel this combo is THE combo that makes superman.

you dont even need to go into trait sometimes, but if you come from a street fighter background like me, the hit confirm is vital to be SUPER good lol
