What? That’s just silly. Tbh, in ST, I don’t believe Fei can link his c.lp and c.lk together, they seem too slow. I can cancel c.lk into s.lp to c.lp-> rekkas, but that actually works for me, versus the links in SF4, that string is tough.
Edit: I don’t believe the combo c.lk, s.lp->c.lp->rekkas is a reliable combo in ST, I have a tough time linking c.lk into the close s.lp.
Edit 2: Alright, it seems I CAN link c.lk to c.lp, but the difference being A) I CAN’T cancel C.lk with c.lp and B) Its alot easier. What the hell?
I can even link close s.mp, s.mp, c.mp-> Super if I wanted to. Normals don’t create advantage anymore…

In ST if you chain light attacks of the same height (standing vs. crouching) then you can’t cancel the later light attacks.

SF4’s mechanic of linking is quite frankly…well it sucks shit lol.
But Fei can’t chain his crouching jabs or shorts at all, he can only link. Even then, c.lp, c.lp doesn’t work and c.lk, c.lk, c.lp definitly can’t work.
Your statement stands because you can’t chain his crouching lights, period.
If they allow it to work in SF4, they should at least let it be more easy to pull off, because as is, its takes alot of thought just to try and get the bloody string just right, with almost no room for error.
Edit: Ok, so c.lp, c.lp works, but whats the point? One c.lp does just fine and it doesn’t hit low anyway.

fei is competitive
So I rarely play as fei, so its not really my place to say. However, all things considered, I used to think he was a top or serious character to main.
My question to everyone who wants him to be beefed up is this; if he isn’t a “competitive” character then why did Justin Wong give Daigo some serious issues.
personally, I’ve played fei players and got killed by his poke game and priority focus attack.
I think he is pretty balanced to the right person using him but I agree his overhead should be faster. or his chicken wing for that matter.
…and give him spinning pile driver.
It takes a lot of skill to use Fei. Every little thing from rekka positioning to his BnB combo requires a lot of timing. His links are very strict as well…usually only 1 frame links which sucks monkey balls. When I pick other characters, I notice that their links and combos are SOOO much more lenient and easier to pull off. The thing that pisses me off is that Fei Long doesn’t even do much damage…not sure why Capcom made it so hard for him to combo. It’s not like he has any abusable cheap moves…all of his moves leave him at disadvantage frames.
Here’s what I say:
All chicken wings same on block. +0. Harder strength kick lengthens invincibility. Final hit overhead. On hit, make it give more frames to combo after. Right now the LK and MK versions aren’t useful and are somewhat unsafe to perform. Give a reason to use them. Maybe give the LK version it’s immunity to fireballs like in ST. MAKE ALL HITS ARMOR BREAK.
Rekkas: MORE DAMAGE. Shave a couple of frames off of the recovery. First and second hit shouldn’t be punishable.
EX Rekkas: Make them eat fireballs from frame 1, and also make them travel slightly farther.
Overhead: more frames on hit to combo a cr.lp from. I don’t care if it’s a 1 frame link just make it happen on normal hit.
Tenshin: Faster startup or more range. It’s just a gimmick right now.
Regular throw: MORE RANGE. Fei pressures people and has to be inside. Why does he have one of the smallest throw ranges?
cr.MK: Special Cancelable. If not, make link combos easier so nott o have wonky pauses in between the hits like in cr.LK cr.LP cr.LP Rekkas.
Forward HK: This move sucks, give him back his old one. Or if this one is kept, extend the hit boxes slightly and make it faster.
Flame Kick: More horizontal range, a few more frames of invincibility.
Ultra: Make one of them combo on juggle.
And…
Nunchuck win pose god damnit.
Daigo’s never faced a SFIV Fei before that tourney.

When u perform rapid fires, u need to delay the last hit in order to cancel into a special. So it’s c.lk>c.lp>pause>c.lp>HP Rekka, this mechanic breaks the fludity of the game…the combo’s don’t feel organic.

Sorry my ST statement was a blanket statement for the cast. Like ryu can chain cr.lks together or link them. 
Sorry, but I am not in favor of beefing Fei’s Overhead… AT ALL. That’s as good as an overhead should be.
I do agree that his links to rekkas deal way too little damage. I agree that his links are way too hard to do as well if they do this little damage.
Surprised no one mentioned the random miss of the 2nd hit of the Fierce Flame Kick.
I say they should make the rekkas different by the punches. Make the Fierce hit the Hardest. Make the Jab the Safest. And make the MP deal jab damage with fierce lag, but invincible, so that it will beat out reversal shoryukens.

Oh also, Faster walk speed or better recovery on his dash. The dash looks fast but he just stands there waiting to get punched in the face for a while after he hops forward.
His walk speed is surprisingly slow compared to his speed in ST. For physical short range character with no fireball, he should be able to close the distance faster. This would help him a ton vs his bad matchups like Sagat.
