The guy playing Fei didn’t hit a single link out of cl.LK. Either the timing was off or it’s not possible.
Even so, why not just change the fucking hitbox on st.LP like we all wanted? cr.LK, cr.LP, st.LK > cr.LP is stupidly inconvenient for what amounts to absolutely no benefit.
I actually don’t think that counter ultra will be that bad… If your opponent is getting predictable with his pokes you could probably catch them on it pretty easily… It should also reduce the amount of offense they are coming at you with… Is it fantastic? No, but i think time will tell how good or bad it really is.
To me Fei looked a bit quicker too… might just be my eyes playin tricks on me tho. So what is this nerf of the EX CW? Does it not go through projectiles any more? And if so has it been confirmed, or is it just speculation? Now that would suck major ass.

Keep in mind that you would have to activate the ultra during the startup frames of said pokes. One frame too early and they do nothing; one frame too late and you eat the poke. Unless they’re poking to the beat of the stage music or you’re Daigo Umefuckinghara you’re going to lose out more often than not.

Hahahah yea this is probably tru… Thats the whole point of what i’m saying tho, if you notice your opponents attack patterns are repetitive you could probably have a good chance to sneak it in, it also seems to do pretty dam good damage. Also probably possible to bait someone too, could create alot of shennanigans, it seems that they would also have to be much more careful on the offensive side giving Fei a little more window for offense. I dunno, maybe i’m just trying to be positive lol but i’m willing to give it a shot especially considering his U1 isn’t exactly fantastic… unless maybe they fixed it heh i doubt that.

You guys are overreacting. His dash is definitely faster… he focused a poke and was able to block ridiculously fast after dashing… I believe it was a poke canceled into Hayate. The rest of the stuff is shit we already knew so relax guys. Still need to see whats up with his new chicken wing and if ultra can be comboed off command grab. lol @ the counter ultra mashing during combos though.

Wow, you’re right. I didn’t even notice that. Makoto definitely did a 2 in 1 to hayate. This probably means you’ll be able to do that against low pokes canceled into projectiles too. Definitely a significant buff.

The game is faster. FA lvl 2 FA of Fei is quite fast and seems even more useful.
His FA already has good distance.
Yeah his FA looks more nasty in this fast game engine, think CH crumples will happen more often.
I think what xSAMURAIx meant is that the recovery at the end of Fei’s dash from SF4 has been removed. That’s why Fei was able to block Makoto’s hayate after absorbing the c.MP with focus and dashing forward at around 1:26 in that video. It’s not just a byproduct of the game being faster. This could also mean he has positive frames on block after lvl1 focus. crosses fingers
Seems that guy from Final Round wasn’t BSing after all. Now let’s just hope what he said about c.mp being cancelable into rekkas was true as well.
