The feis standing RK is probably a good move if it weren’t for abel’s sky fall but I guess it’s ok because when you’re making fei’s ultra be like 5 greenhands from zangeif it’s alright. IMO fei would be better if his rekkas were immune to cr.MPs but sometimes I guess El Fuerte is to blame.
The now confirmed blind Ultra select makes Fei’s counter-Ultra even more useless.
Ultra II could’ve been the right choice against Sims and Seths - now you don’t know who you fight against.
lol it’d still be silly, trying to randomly do ultra from long long range just to MAYBE catch their limbs.
But a filled Ultra II-meter could prevent Seths and Sims from abusing their zoning limbs. Just by its threat.

yeah. i doubt anyone will have success countering any normal without throwing UII out there randomly. if he jumps and you activate, he just wont touch anything. or he’ll just fuck with you by doing neutral jump RH.
i was gonna try to still use fei in tourney’s occasionally, but fuck it. he’s my casuals only character now. faster dashes wont make my matches all not feel like im working more than having fun

i like how the justification is that fei now has protection against two moves which, thanks to a decent dash and rekkas, he never really had a ton of trouble with anyway so people scream about how he’s top tier because 4-6 (seth) and 5-5 (sim) matchups become 4.05-5.95 and 5.05-4.95
meanwhile gief-fei is still like 9-1 and sagat-fei is still 11-0 or whatever
Geif-Fei is NOT 9-1 or 8-2 OR 7-3 fk those who believe different. You honestly have plenty of tools to stop him. The 7-3 comes form the fact that you CAN’T fk up or use your specials like you can in other matches (or chickenwing AT ALL). It’s 7-3 match if you make it that way. Zone his ass. For Seth… get one good neutral roundhouse and just hang until he starts coming at you, then play your game on him.
Fei is a low character, for sure. But he has the tools to win. I’m as disappointed about the counter ultra as the next Fei player, but I’m gonna attempt to rep it best I can along with Fei. Also we still have to get the wider change to the game itself that none of us have experienced.
Think of it this way, your going in to a new game with a character who isn’t that great, but you’ve at least got a head start because you have his links and basics tricks down. Win those early tourneys when people are still learning and we can bump the tier lists.: )
I am sick of the argument, <insert character here> has the tools to win, EVERYONE has the tools to win. This sort of argument usually comes from fanboys of said character.
“Oh guile is low tier but if you use him right he’s can compete” - yeah so? So can every other god damn character in the fking game, just varies in how EFFECTIVELY they can compete.
The tier list is based on more OBJECTIVE views (not completely objective) rather than tournament wins - character tool set, special moves, priority, damage, defense, etc. For the most part everyone has an answer to said situation in various fights, its just that some characters have a better solution to said situation than others.
Yes fei has the tools to win but it is undeniable that he needs to be buffed up.
You say zone his ass, well its easier said than done as they say, fei has tools to do that, well argument can say that gief also has tools to catch you as well.
i dont know where you got 7-3 from but you must have some godly Fei. Id love to see you run a set of first to 10 or 20 against a Good Gief that knows the Fei matchup.
i’d just like to say i was being facetious in my imaginary matchups which should have been evident from the fact that 11-0 is actually impossible
still i do think that sagat-fei and gief-fei are both at least 7-3, inching towards 8-2, real talk

Most of feis moves if blocked or spaced incorrectly results in an SPD or something nasty
You’d have to play way outside fei’s comfort zone to win that matchup.
