But seriously, his grab needs just a little more range. It’s absolute bullshit that a character who relies on getting in can grabbed after I grabbed before them and I know it would’ve been a tech if I were closer. Just no, Capcom. I don’t want to get close enough to admire Ryu’s hairless chest, I wanna get my hand to his nipple, twist it, (this is the hidden animation in his back throw, they haven’t showed us yet) punch him up in the air and crush the dragon underneath my feet.

I think his Rekka’s are fine. I wish I could FADC, but I’m not quite sure if that would be broken.
CW is fine, learn to do that one-frame link after the heavy version. I do agree with the lesser versions being a bit useless outside after a FADC’d fire kick. I dunno, allow at the most a mixup game. +0 advantage frame would be great with me.

Just make the CW’s overhead at least and safe on block to preasure like in SF2, rekka’s need to be safe depending on the strength’s used just like in SF2.

you are forgeting about domage reduce, plus i m no sure you coould fadc rekkan before the opponment recorver and was able to guard.
but at leat you could faback dash if a rekka unsafe touch in guard to make it safe and not eat a shoryu fadc ultra( just like rekka abel)

As cool as the 7 hit FADC rekkas would look it’s not beating his 5 hit 400 dmg super rekkas even if not treated as a unified attack [:nono:assuming they are:sweat:]. after 2 hits… 160 scaled > 60x3 scaled… even if not by much.
So… could be useful but… far from game breakingly good

looking at 33-36 frames of block stun [and he seems to have that and more on hit] for his 2nd rekka hits, and a 17 frame dash, should leave more than a 15 frame window for a good FADC follow up.

I want him to have a normal standing counter. It’ll animate similar to his foot drag thing, but end it with him roundhousing someone in the face with some stun to do more combos. I always imagined Fei as a combo guy.
Or have him have MVC / Yun like combos lp, lk, mp… etc.
Make chicken wing a crossup, and fix the ultra and super they suck. Half of the time when I connect opponent gets pushed out of range and then the rest of the ultra is blocked biggest bs ever. Also all the other stuff you guys were saying like faster recovery time on reka and more priority for cw and fire kick.

am i the only fei user who thinks changing the cw motion will throw off my game?
need to add this… his command throw should beat a normal throw. so, frustrating that an ex version gets beat by normal throws

I don’t see the big issue with his chicken wing animation, compared to SF2, it’s super easy to pull off consistently.
His fire leg is a tossup for me. Time it right and it’s a wonderful anti-air. Where you see its flaw is trading blows on the ground. It gets smacked around by a shoryu, even the EX version, it’s ridiculous.
SendMaster: A grab sometimes beats a Super, like being grabbed out of a Shinkuu Hadouken. I guess if the other person started to grab you before you started your Tenshin, well, they just beat you out to the punch.
Actually, a lot of things know you out of Tenshin. I hope you’re not trying to punish a grab with Tenshin instead of teching. ._.
Hey guys, I don’t play fei, so sorry if this suggestion would make him completely overpowered.
After watching Deejay, I figured why shouldn’t fei long have a special that causes crumple in order to give him 1 good way to combo into his ultra. So my suggestion is that his ex rekka should cause crumple on third hit, and they should give him a really cool final punch animation and a loud “WATTAAA!!!”
I’m not sure if this will be overpowered or not. It depends on whether all of fei’s rekka count as one hit, or if the three rekkas count as individual hits. I assume it’s the ladder, in which case damage scaling should balance out the ease of which he could now go into his ultra. Basically he could combo into it from a jab to ex rekka (he can do that right?), but he will already have 4 hits.
What do you guys think?

Since RH is an antiair, why not make forward RH come out faster? It would make a godly poke.
Anyone defending Fei Long’s Tenshin as a great thing is an idiot. Stop defending it. I’ve been a loooooong time Fei Long player and have seen all the variations of him since the beginning (still murder in SSF2). So no newbie opinion here. This version needs work, plain and simple. I kill in G1 with Fei, but there are simply match ups and issues that need to be fixed. But hey, that is one of the reasons they are making SSF4. Here are the definite things to fix. Here are the main issues.

Ultra. Just allow Fei Long to combo into it (it’s extremely limited now at best). Can’t argue that. I assume this will be the case, as everyone now gets two. I will be shocked if they don’t fix this.

Fix the Tenshin. It’s risky, always. Just fix it Capcom. You know what to do.

CW should be DP motion. It improved Sagat’s Tiger Knee from SF2 (used to suck, now it is awesome). The CW is slow and input is silly at the moment. Improve it. Again, it worked great for that one eyed bastard.
