Out of interest Yannick - You’re not from Europe are you? I’ve played a good Sakura a bunch of times called YAN–NICK on PSN.
My mains in SSF4 were Bison and Dhalsim but I couldn’t get the them to work well together in SF xTekken. I put Bison at point and when I tagged Sim in it was hard to get him out safely. Last night I switched to a Bison/Vega team. Suprisingly them compliment each other pretty well.
:eek: I wish that were my PSN name, haha. That is not me, BUT the weird/interesting part is that I play Sakura in IV (only played Bison in vanilla and the first half of Super). Small world, huh?
P.S. - I may have played this guy a long time ago, actually.
I like Abel on point and Bison so you can knock them around with Abel then sit on the life lead with Bison .

Bison/Juri here. Without that much experience yet (~100-120 games, i think), so far I use Bison as a meter battery with two blue gems, and a defense gem. He is pretty nice at applying pressure with frametraps, and personally I think he is overall a quite decent character. However, when it’s time to apply some serious pressure and damage, or he is stock in the corner, he is pretty good at getting out of the corner and pressure especially with EX PC, and that is where Juri comes in with two red and a yellow gem, when sh*t is about to go down.
I’m currently having a character crisis with Bison. Probably will try this one next

Sagat isnt a bad partner, but I really wanna use Bob since he’s my tk main, I just cant get a flow with him

pretty much what i do but im starting to learn to blow people up just hard as juri does with dictator so he isnt solely a support character
Working on that as well But I still feel pretty safe using the two blue gems. Tbh I think his damage is decent at least, so more meter for Juri suits me fine, as well for tag outs.
I play uber lame with him and 3 meter building gems. I feel that with meter and Gief or Hugo in the back no can really approach him and with forward roll teleport plus EX Psycho he gets out of every form of pressure. I basically run away and build meter and if they corner me I HP Psycho and tag out to Gief then push my opponent all of the way back.
i tried bison bob when when the game first came out bob has a high damage out put but i don’t really like his super.
Been using bison point Marduk sat in the back getting angry! The damage Marduk can dish out paired with bisons keep aways and fast pokes is great for me. Use 2 meter gems and 1 health gem on bison and all damage on the duke. Nothing great synergy wise for uber flashy combos but they compliment each others weaknesses perfectly.

asuka cant poke for shit and as a hard time getting in, bisons got that covered. bison has no mix ups to break turtles, asuka got that under control.
you get 350+ meterless dmg off a cross rush into asuka combo, that also sets up her meaty OH/low mix up. the mix up loops, setting its self up again after the combo, so 2 wrong guesses = dead character.
most of asukas dmg is meterless leaving that meter for bison. (wake up options/ AA cross art)
can easily tag cancel bison back in off either oni or dp+K on block or hit safely.
can tag cancel PC in to asukas F+lk, f+lp for full combo into mix up.
not really bison/asuka only: you can mess with people by playing with the timing on a blocked tag cancel HP.PC
tag on first hit to come in on the same side you started on. tag on second to come in from behind.
if you tag on the first hit you can then OH/low/crossup while the second hit covers you. great with asuka.
:eek: Funny story, my very first team was Bison/Asuka.
I stopped playing this team because even though there is some synergy between the two characters, their work as a team is extremely questionable at best.
They only partially cover each other on both the weakness (Bison can poke for Asuka and Asuka can deal meterless D for Bison) and strengths (tags off of Bison’s infinite hard knockdowns sets up Asuka oki and Asuka pushes kids to the corner very easily for Bison to trap people). They still have a few too many holes for me to endorse fully.
For example, Asuka’s BR defensive playstyle was very well preserved in the game, but doesn’t transition well into the game’s engine. It’s very hard to play defensively in this game unless you have some way to also lame it out and Asuka doesn’t have the tools to be really lame. She still relies heavily on spacing and whiff punishing as her main game plan. Bison, on the other hand plays almost strict runaway very well but doesn’t get too much off of the few opportunities he gets. Neither does great D with their supers and both use meter defensively for the most part.
I dunno, the team just feels really half-baked. I do have fun, but I don’t feel like it DOES anything…you know? I put Bison with Dhalsim and Asuka with Ibuki and the two are much happier in teams that actually have a gameplan instead of just do damage, block stuff, do damage, reversal, attempt to tag, etc.
I’ve been in the lab with bison/ken a bit and found some cool stuff. If you land a cross up tatsu > c.mk xx h.tatsu xx switch cancel to bison j.hp > s.hp xx hk.scissor juggle c.mp into PC or SK depending on screen positioning. Gets an easy 400+ damage and If you land a jump in hp or hk > c.hp you will net out about 516 damage. You can also super for some flash but it only gives around 615 I think so unless its a sure fire kill I’d say save the meter. It’s also possible to hell attack from kens HP shoryu but the timing is very strict, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to pull it off in a match.
Bison seems to work pretty well with Ken except with a tag canceled shoryu. After HP shoryu I’m having a hard time following up with Bison after a tag cancel other than the super tight hell attack into c.mp xx PC. Another issue I’m running into is Bison doesn’t play well with anybody. I have a hard time fully following up his SK and PC if I tag cancel. His devils reverse gives me enough time to c.hp xx hp.shoryu but devils reverse is hardly reliable especially when trying to predict if they will block it.
I absolutely love the damage Bison can dish out with Ken from a single meter and I’m not going to change the team unless I find out something amazing about another character so any help would be appreciated to bring in some Bison/Ken synergy.

bison can cancel his standing attacks to devils reverse -hell attack for overhead pressure .off of certain srks bison can do a jumping hp standing hk stand hp canceled to super. ive done it off of bob spiral rocky in a combo for 636.
Bison/Sagat is a great team. They have great tag in combos. They build meter fast. All you need is one bar to do an average of 445 and you can do that more than you think. They can even do 500 plus damage like its nothing. Their highest, realistic combo is 700 damage without gems. Thats my team and I have been very successful with them.
