Barragan was my favorite Espada. Given his power & leadership, there is legit no reason given or shown why Stark was #1.
Barragan controlled the power of age, Stark omly had twin pistols & was beaten rather easily. Til this day I still donāt understand that decision

of course the series never got into this, but I suspected that Barraganās rank was perhaps an insult from Aizen himselfā¦ to make the former King into a glorified henchman is one thingā¦but it drives home the point even further when you donāt even make that King into the top-rank henchman at thatā¦ Yeah, Barragan shouldāve been the true #1 of that group.

People abuse the whole ācomfort animalā thing. I have a friend who had this relatively ill tempered dog that she would take everywhere, even into restaurants, because sheād gotten comfort animal status for it.
