The Lounge: Does Leroy Smith Listen to Wu-tang?

Anybody seen the last Rambo movie? Movie is horrifyingly violent, I love it. Never trust professional critics :joy:

Yesterday I turned 29. This is the last year of my 20s. Wow, where does the time go.

Happy late birthday, man. And time seems to continue to speed up as you get older, I’m afraid.

Critics are worthless fam. I’ve thought so for sometime but they showed their ass when they were reviews of Sticks & Stones. Everyone finally saw them for what they were after that nonsense.

Critics were afraid Joker would cause some mass panic (which NEVER happened) and purposely gave it lower scores. They been full of shit

First critics want to throw Joker under the bus for promoting gun violence.

Now Joker is nominated for a bunch of Academy awards.

HOLLYWOOD EVERYBODY!

There are good critics, but you really have to know what the specific critic is like before their reviews get useful.

Anybody else notice a huge rise in click bait articles that go

“Thing That You Like: Five things from it that fall into a category (and five things that don’t!)”

Maybe journalism isn’t such a tough career anymore.

Also: “D&D moral alignments of characters from a show you used to watch!”

SFIV has bland music for the most part, the exception being the character select screen in Ultra. Dunno how that one got thru in a game where it seemed they were hell bent on making the most bland OST they could. Even though I’m not a huge fan of the A3 soundtrack, it has a certain vibe to it, same with 3s which is, imo one of the best OSTs in any fighting game ever. There was nothing memorable from the SF4 OST other than the theme that plays when you’re waiting for a match, and I only remember it because I heard it way too much.

Cool? I can only remember 1 track from Alpha 3.

If I had my way I would turn off the bgm and play the music I want, in every fighting game.

Some of y’all should give Children of Morta a try. Really fun game.

Kind of reminds me of the MSF OST. It also tried to deviate from the original legacy themes like SFA 3 (except for Spidey and Cap who still have their same old themes) but for the most part I find more complied to listen to this one over SFA 3.

There are a few YouTube critics that like because have common sense but they are the gross minority. Most critics are elitist virtue signalling pricks with their heads so far up their own asses they should be practicing proctologists.

Well, since we’re doing that now

Sadly I just don’t use a pen very often so my fountain pens are kind of retired. I love 'em, but they’re just too high maintenance if you’re not keeping the ink flowing.
I still kind of want to buy a nice fine-nib Pilot though…

It’s finally happening. All the boondocks predictions are coming true

heh, so I checked on Collider Video’s subscription count on “socialblade”… according to them, the channel lost 16k subs in the past 30 days. I was thinking it would be worse than that, actually. Mannnnn if I was the main dude in charge over there, the 1 guy that posted the passive-aggressive “cute” little comments on twitter probably would’ve been fired SO fast. That dude made an already bad situation even worse

(Cliff Notes version—youtube channel Collider decided to cancel most of their shows recently, which naturally pissed off many longtime fans and also resulted in a LOT of the on-air talent being let go. One guy that was still with them, and in a high-rank position apparently… posted some snarky comments on twitter, which many took as him subtly making fun or belittling the situation of those ex-employees, like “Oh well sorry the shows you were on weren’t able to pull in the views…” etc.)

On another note—it’s absolutely hilarious that I saw them talking about that guy that was in the university band with us again on facebook lately… and it’s the same deal; he’s a notorious scammer these days. This was already brought up about a year or 2 ago on fb…and now folks are discussing him yet again. The great thing was when I typed this guy’s name in a search online, first results popping up were comments from people saying to “watch out for this guy”

Everyday we stray further from God’s grace :joy:
