Most of the dudes in the comments of mgtow videos don’t actually get mgtow either. Actual mgtow dudes don’t say shit like that because they aren’t focused on women at all beyond the issues of law.
You arent actually going your own way if you’re sitting on the internet trying to convince yourself you don’t find any women interesting. Don’t make the mistake of thinking YouTube comments are mgtow. That’s like mistaking Twitter for FGC. FGC people use Twitter but Twitter is not FGC. Same with Youtube. Mgtow people use YouTube to make videos about the subject but YouTube is not mgtow.

Oh i agree there are laws that need to be changed in regards to how they favor women. My main point though was the contradicting dating preferences of these dudes. But @Radiantsilvergun3 said it best. Dont let the comment section speak for everyone. And your point about how the guys in the comments come off as “Damned if you do, damned if you don’t” is also good.
My best way to describe MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way) Is this:
Dealing with women, relationships, and much of society in general is a game. MGTOWs have quit playing the game. There are varying degrees of how far some men have gone, but that is the simplest description.

I’m not here to police how you spend your leisure time, but 4 of the 5 seasons of The Wire are among the best things ever put on television.
And even the dud season is worth watching because by then you’re heavily invested in some of the characters whose plotlines don’t suck.

My not watching those shows wasnt all because I dislike them. Many of them were on HBO and premium movie channels andI didnt want to pay for Netflix , cable and another service.
Damn. The Wire was on Amazon Prime until recently but I just checked and they pulled it. I;m guessing for HBO Max.

I saw that lmfao. Twitter is glorious
While all the shows you mentioned are great, I can say without hyperbole that The Wire and Sopranos are two of the greatest shows ever made. The writing, acting, the way the characters are dynamic and interesting, the settings, etc. You will definitely be rewarded for your time watching these shows.
I thought GoT lived up to the hype for the most part, for some of the same reasons, and yes, the ending was terrible, but the show was really incredible in a lot of ways. I went in not being terribly interested in it, but wound up being really into it because while it starts off slow, once it picks up, it’s super entertaining.
Breaking Bad was too depressing for me. I watched the first and part of the second seasons and while it’s a great show I usually walked away thinking, “Jesus, how much bad shit can happen to one person?” I wound up having to watch a lot of Californication (another pretty damn good show) to sort of “detox.”
We’re watching Ozark right now and it’s really fantastic. We just started the third season and the dynamic shift between characters is a little weird but I’m reserving my judgement.

They just waste their time bitching about “the game.”
A lot of the mgtow stuff I’ve watched & read seems guys who have a penchant for shitty women being mad that they end up with shitty women so they decide to “go their own way” rather than look at themselves and fix their issues. I agree that there are a lot of things that aren’t in men’s favor and there are more undateables out there because of the whole “you do you” thing we have going on, but there are so many people committed to their aint-shitness rather than trying to fix it.

Whiny crybabies it is everyone else not me rhetoric bs that preys on the dumb and eassily convinced guys who think they should just be given shit instead of earning it
Mgtow are those guys whining about wearing a mask and calling covid a hoax
I mean, I get it. You date some shitty people and decide, fuck it, I’m done, until you get over that. It’s like wormn who are on that “men are shit, all the good ones are gay or taken, I’m going to go lesbo” stuff when really, they’re probably just low tier as people and think they deserve more than they do. I’m not saying I think those mentalities are good but I understand.

Low tier people opting out of dating other low tier people is a reasonable decision.
But that shit’s been going on forever. Pretending that it makes you the protagonist of some new social movement is basically some poverty tier Ayn Rand shit.

sheeeitttt, watching another Vampire Diaries-- season 6 episode 11… I forgot yet another thing cementing Kai’s top-tier status as a powerful villain… the guy could also cast illusions. In this episode he pulled a tactic straight from the Book of Aizen Sosuke… Damon throws a broken broom handle right into his chest, naturally thinking that’s it…he’s done…suddenly he appears out of thin air next to “himself”… and he pops off with a typical snarky commentary-- “cloaking, illusions…it’s all in the same wheelhouse…”—the illusion fades away to reveal that other “Kai” was actually Elena who got hit with that attack.
this is also the episode where LEGENDARY hotness Tristin Mays first appears as “Sarah Salvatore” …that girl is incredible:
