Speaking about that, after all is said and done, how you feel about eSports all up in the scene?

I used to be whatever about it. But watching the clusterfuck that was the bulk of last year and all the virtue signalling and clout chasing that’s come out of it, I’m pretty fucking over it.

At this point, I just play, I don’t really give a shit.

The CeroBlast/ LTG thing was crazy for a number of reasons.

The anthropologist in me was  the FGc person was

LTG was a long time coming, but it was curious how political it was that calling BrolyLegs “Krang” was okay, but going on a transphobic diatribe was not okay.

IMO both aren’t.

The CeroBlast thing seemed somewhat petty but understandable. BUPO doesn’t hold up in the FGC anymore now that everyone’s seen.

But there’s way too much from last year that was just kind of nauseating.

See the only problem here is that Broly/CeroBlast and LTG didn’t play it out. That’s how this scene used to solve beefs. You run the set. eSports took that away as a conflict resolution tool.

CeroBlast being an idiot would’ve been resolved differently like 5-6 years ago too. All the FGC leadership sort of cucked it all up because they didn’t see the important part of it the CeroBlast thing: you need to leave room for people to be idiots so they can be corrected. The alternative is just kicking people out constantly.

You’re right on that end, Twitter FGC got to grandstand, actual FGC will keep it lowkey and be completely different than what you see in the cameras. That’s pretty shitty TBH.

Something like this happened on one of those trash TV talk shows years ago. Dude brought his friend on the show, but the friend thought it was a chick.

Found out it was his best friend bringing him on the show to confess his love, ended up killing him later on. It was messed up all around

Jenny jones…

But forreal guys reverting to gay insults and looking for a fight

I say you troll him like goldust or not velveteen since what he allegedly got up to.

But you know act all androgynous and make him question his boner

LTG and Cero blowup started over getting hit by CC sweep on wake up over and over. All because one person didnt know how to block on wakeup.

100%

But then what you said would completely get you cancelled before you could say “Just run the set.” Because 100% shit shouldn’t be settled in game because “Infiltration beat his wife.”

Cancel culture/clout chasing/virtue signalling is just stupid af. But no one knows how to pick battles anymore; the entire battle is “If you offend me, I will get you tossed.”

See this is another one of those things.

The thing about the people putting this shit out there is that they don’t understand that it can’t be an uneven standard. People go through the legal system for a reason. Its the way society resolves those types of issues.

If you want to put on additional punishments, feel free to think that way. But how many background checks are you gonna run for criminal records?

Its pretty funny that a scene with so many minorities has people in it legitimately arguing that being convicted of a crime should get you barred from it.

Kinda interesting how most of the people doing this are white too.

I don’t know. Its a little bit weird to me that this community is suddenly more interested in the image rather than finding ways to make amends.

CeroBlast was dumbfucky as all hell, but that’s hella GD posts (me included). Instead of finding some way to make it right locally and then getting that outward, guy got turbo bodied. Which is sort of what he gets for trying to start an internet lynch mob over dumb ass LTG who is always on some dumb shit.

But all of it is silly. Mans or Broads already ended up looking like a fucking idiot to the whole planet. Got vids of it that’ll never go away. That needs an indefinite ban? Gllty went around groping mofos and got the same ban as CeroBlast. That’s crazy.

Yeah, this.

Like you can believe whatever you want about Infil IMO. I’ve known him long enough that I believe his side of the story, and I’ve also dealt with family law in Korea enough to know that what he is saying given the changes in law from 2015 onward is entirely plausible.

But even if people believe her, and he has done his due diligence since, then he deserves a chance to change. It’s also funny that the same people calling for the end of his career were noticeably silent and don’t say a word about Noel Brown after he Bionic Armed Smoothviper, or when he got hit with assault charges at CEO.

But then there’s not enough clout to chase with Noel Brown, therefore you gotta crucify Infiltration.

I’m all for second chances. The only way you learn is to make mistakes or learn from others who have. For all the anti-eventhubs shit, they were right about this 100% on their podcast when they talked about Infil’s ban last year. (Also the only time I’ve ever listened to their podcast)

But apparently nowadays making a mistake means your life is over because social media never forgets, and the throngs of old guard that joined the cacophony of social justice warriors thinking that people can’t change, just to raise their stocks in the community, was shocking.

Looking squarely at UltraChen on the last one.
