Unless she was bad mouthing Angelina to her kids, which by all indications she wasnât, itâs just petty.
Family dynamics is usually more nuanced, like what you were detailing about with your own family. Jennifer might not have been badmouthing her to her own children, but if she has a certain way of living, ideology or did things in the past that Angelina thinks negatively of then itâs her right as a parent. To be honest if I had a guess it probably has something to do with some combination of Scientology and Angelinaâs post mastectomy/ovary removal way of thinking about people and relationships.
Itâs messed up you have to downplay or hide your nerdy aspects to get a woman. When I say âyouâ, I mean in general not you directly. Alot of women seem to think nerdiness is not masculine for whatever stupid reasons
Once had a chick I already smashed try to downplay my manhood cuz I was watching cartoons at her house. And this was only a few years ago
ha, this meme is hilarious⌠Iâm thinking it was most likely done by a woman or a âfeminizedâ dudeâŚboth camps always seeking to demonize anything men do or any argument men will put forth.
Itâs more logical to go after the larger group in terms of âthe huntâ. Itâs most likely changed by now for sure but in my Generation X, ânerdy girlsâ were few and far between. For every 1 of those thereâs probably a few hundred thousand or million+ that are in the ânormalâ category that WOULD indeed look down on you for such qualities. On top of that, the ânerdy girlsâ probably werenât physically attractive either. Sheâs likely to be repulsed if you bring up gaming seriously in casual conversation, or that you have a huge comic book collection. Who in their right mind would actually LEAD with that when trying to get to know a girl youâre attracted to? Only someone that wants to fail miserably, imo. (*at least back then before geeky shit and nerdiness somehow became more socially accepted.)
âŚknowing that the first impression is so critical, why would anyone be open about information that could ruin things? Sheeeitttt, back in the day I donât even remember there being ANY âgeekyâ girls at all⌠maybe some ânerdyâ ones (but of course that did not automatically mean they were into the same shit as a typical ânerdy/geekyâ dude); itâs also a bit annoying people keep conflating those terms, btw. So⌠weâre supposed to only seek out that 0.002% of the female population and then narrow it down further to the percentage of that group that also happens to be even slightly attractive? haha bitch please get all the way out of here with that⌠like thereâs a LOT of girls like that back in the dayâŚwhat is this Twilight Zone alternate universe bullshit.
âThereâs PLENTY of girls who are intoâŚâ
âNO THEREâS NOT, bitch.â I mean some of that is also a regional thing but come on.
Not like the average male Gen X nerd was walking around in highschool looking like Idris Elba either. Genuinely wish highschool me would have spent more time on the girls who would have had sex with me. Hindsight reveals most of them really just needed a style consultant anyway.
Childish Gambino dropped a new album today titled 3.15.20 but from everywhere Iâm looking about it you canât actually purchase it. You can only listen to it through streaming services like Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora.
Wtf man.
Edit: he has it up on his personal YouTube page and website as well but I actually want to buy it
Yeah itâs been out since last week but I havenât seen alot of people talk about it. Might be because originally it was only on his website and you couldnât rewind. It was basically 1 long track for a whole album
I donât think itâs about being into the same stuff as just supporting your enjoyment of it.
When I told my girl I was planning on going to Evo a couple years ago she was like, âwhy donât we just plan a whole trip around that?â and so we went, hung out at the casinos, and hung with a few friends when I wasnât doing Evo stuff. She even wanted to watch me play samsho on stream. She doesnât play games really, but she was always super supportive of me competing, and she has her own hobbies so she gets it.
A chick who looks down on your own hobbies probably has none of her own and itâs just sour grapes on her part. I never understood dudes who would give up their hobbies, something that was there before the chick and would still be after if she left. If anything, get rid of HER. There are plenty of women out there who, even if they arenât into your same hobby, will support you doing it rather than shitting on you for it.
I know every girl I dated whoâd shit on me for liking wrasstlinâ Iâd end up getting them to super enjoy it by the end of that month.
Happened every time without fail. Iâd usually introduce them to cruiserweight stuff like 90âs WCW or indies like PWG or Japanese companies like Dragon Gate.
Then Iâd get them to watch move technical stuff.
Either wayâŚIâd like a girl to support my hobbies by either
leave me to my own devices and have it be my âme timeâ or whatever as long as it doesnât interfere with important IRL shit.
attempt to learn why I have that hobby and maybe attempt to learn it themselves
Or a little bit a both. Iâm always super appreciative whenever I had a girlfriend who was willing to dip their toe into my hobby and see what itâs all about.
I had a girlfriend who went with me to state championships for a card game I was playing at the time (a tournament I went undefeated in btw #humblebrag) and after the event she was like âIâve never seen you so intense but so friendly with that same person once the match was over. Youâre like a totally different person when you playâ
After that she wanted to learn the game and meet the people Iâd deck test with. After that sheâd randomly enter tournaments Using one of the decks I had built for her or sheâd play in the side events while I played in the big event that was happening.
She loved going to the game room with me at cons since it was such a lax environment and people were more than happy to teach her how to play x board game or y card game.
