Religion is just another form of CONTROL.
Much like the Constitution or rules set upon the masses by any type of authority, controlling a specific population is one of the goals of any religion. Indoctrination happens at a very early stage and happens subliminally to the individual/group that has been targeted, with multiple instances of conditioning in varying degrees. Itâs arguably very effective and people are unaware that they are being controlled in a Matrix-type of setup that begins at birth and ends at death.
