Yeah, one of the smartest guys Iāve ever known (and I work at a pretty smart place) got taken advantage of by a woman who had a diary we later found wherein she talked about her plan to get pregnant by him and force him to marry her. It worked! And you know what it didnāt solve any of her life problems (nor hisā¦) and they got divorced and were living in a mobile home and just fucking hating life.
The reason the mtgow lived as long as it did here is because parts of it, the menās rights/fairness bullshit, taking care of yourself and your interests, thatās some reasonable stuff. But then lonely people get super ugly and hateful, and thatās about the time that people need to see therapists on their own time. :\
I had a recent theory that any serious non-gaming subject is not what SRK is about. I think we like people fucking around being idiots never knowing what level of serious or trolling anybody is about.
I think thereās some value in always being aware of the worst case scenario and maybe accounting for that. But closing yourself off to life doesnāt get you anywhere useful.

Mardi Gras gone wild. I was sitting on a bench waiting for everything to calm down because my car was parked inside the police cordon. The police came towards us and pepper sprayed him without warning. I got up to nope the fuck out of there and started walking away and they beat and pepper sprayed me as I was walking away. No reason other than trying to enjoy a nice night.

I feel the same. For both sides marriage and kids can really mess up your life. Itās not for everyone. My parents married and divorced twice. My dad tried to make it work. But only my father ended up raising me.
