Awww, what did he say???
Ok a lighthouse that doesn’t use electricity? This is looking less and less like alien/future technology and more like Jacob is one smart dude who made use of what he had on hand.
And the most obvious answer to that guy in the cabinet is being Jack’s dad now that we know people can be brought back to life, corrupted by the pool then manipulated by the smoke monster.
Why Lost? Why do you add more questions? Why did Jack say he would make a terrible dad and not is a terrible dad? I really suspect the alternate reality to be much more different. I’m going to guess that the bomb not only stopped the survivors avoid crashing, but stop any influence Jacob would have made on their lives after the bomb being set off. I say this because Jacob seems to be able to time travel freely.
Well Miles needs to be close to a dead body in order to communicate? He had to get right down to Juliet’s grave in order to pull something out of her. He hasn’t been close to Locke’s dead body yet.
Although in one of his flashbacks he communicated with the dead when there was no body. He used some sort of machine to help him out though.
That noise is the noise used to indicate a sideways flash, and I don’t think it serves any other purpose.
Also 108, heh.
Holy fuck at the ending though.
Jack can be such a caveman sometimes. He seems to have the tendency to smash stuff when he can’t understand or control something.
I never thought I’d say this, but Claire looks pretty damn scary. Some of those glares she gave Jin and the poor black dude who was probably better off getting shot were pretty chilling.
Anyway, scary or not, how the hell did some 108 pound white girl subdue and tie up a 220lb+ man built like a truck?
This episode was brilliant, I really enjoyed Jack’s story with his son. Jack seeing his house in the mirror was he looking at a memory or was he looking at the alternate universe!?!
Next ep is going to be insane when smlocke gets inside the temple.
And that is?
I don’t know who’s protecting you, but I guess you’re lucky. Otherwise I’d have cut your head off.
Why does Jack have a son? I’m so tired of them introducing new, unrelated plots.
Jack has a son in the alternate reality because he and his wife had him before they divorced.
There’s an inscription written in the lighthouse, Lostpedia lists it as-
"Inscribed above the lighthouse reflector: seus siyd dadru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi. Read backwards, it says “I show not your face but your daddy issues.”
So, according to this episode, Rousseau’s colleagues were going to try to kill her because SHE was crazy, not them? Makes sense if the others were able to get through to them.
What do you think the others will do when they find out that Ben is actually back?
So do we think Christian is actually an entity on the Island, separate from smokey and Jacob? It just seems that him helping Locke go back in time meets with Smokeys Agenda so much more than Jacobs.
As mentioned before, Kate’s name was NOT seen on the ceiling of the cave, leaving us to assume she’s not a candidate? Maybe because she lied to Jacob and continued to be an evil, thieving bitch?
Jacob wanted Hurly to turn the dial to 108. 108 is the sum of 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42.
I’m thinking Christian = Smokey before. Smokey in Christians form was buddy-buddy with Claire. Claire was very comfortable with Christian in the cabin when Locke was told to “move the island”. And Claire seems to be aware of Smokey’s shape shifting ability. At the end of last night’s episode, she said “that’s not John. That’s my friend”.
She was branded by the others just like Sayid. Perhaps Fake Locke is heading to the temple to recruit Sayid.
The last time we saw “Christian”, his last words to Locke were “tell my son I said hello”. Why would smokey say that when John had no idea who Christian was? The only other person who met Christian was Sawyer and Claire.
I strongly believe Christian was brought back to life and was corrupted by smokey. My evidence is that Claire doesn’t see John Locke but sees only her “friend.” Claire mentioned her father as a separate person.
3 things I notice.
1.All of the canidates name were written in a LIGHThouse and a DARKcave.
2.In the alt.timeline christian wore all white suits in the family photos.
3.jin/sun:sides of the arm
hurley/sayid/locke:shoulders
sawyer/jack:finger
This is were jacob touched them.
He knew she was a useless lying cunt.
I guess the person jacob wants brought to the island is desmond?
the numbers and names in the cave were:
- ?Locke?
- ?Reyes?
- ?Ford?
- ?Jarrah?
- ?Shephard?
- ?Kwon?
We can assume that “Kwon” is Jin, not Sun. And if that’s the case, all of the candidates are men. Which makes sense kind of, being that women cannot conceive and carry on the island. Probably easier for a man or some damned nonsense. The only 3 that were pure of heart for the most part are Hugo, Locke and Jack. Locke is dead or part of Smokey now. Hugo is the most interesting. Jack, though… Jack is the main character of this show. Everything revolves around him and has since day 1. The show should just be called “JACK”. Between him and Locke, they were the most “LOST” of everyone. And for the longest time, they were both the leaders. Eventually Locke was murdered, such was his lot in life.
Do I hope we see Desmond again? Hell yeah. It’s more than a coincidence that he happened to fall in love with Widmores daughter, just to end up the one place Widmore wanted to be, pushing a button which, if unpushed, would make the whole show possible. He also encountered Faraday while time shifting, who happens to be Widmore’s son.
TIme for the breakdown of the main characters in the alternate reality:
Charlie- Probably goes to prison after almost ODing on an international flight. Maybe he goes straight.
Claire- Encounters the outlaw Kate, who first steals her cab, then they’re cool. Claire encounters Evan, who tried to steal her baby before.
Kate- Apparently on the run still, but is apparently innocent. Still a thieving cunt, though.
Jack- Dad still died. Still has daddy issues. Is a daddy himself. Still has that shitty truck. Jack runs into Shang Tsung, who also has a talented kid.
Locke- Still paralyzed. How, we don’t know because apparently he and his father are on good terms, so he must not have pushed him out a window. He encounters Jack, who offered him a consult. He also encounters Hugo who sets him up with an interview with Rose, who gets him a job as a substitute teacher, where he encounters Ben. Still dating Peg Bundy as well.
Sun/Jin- Sun didn’t back Jin at the Airport, Jin got taken somewhere. We will probably find out more about this next week, sadly…
Sawyer- We haven’t seen or heard anything about him yet. Maybe his Dad never went nuts or something.
Hugo- Still won the lottery, presumably with the numbers. Instead of thinking himself UNlucky, he considers himself to be the luckiest man alive. He’s apparently buying any and everything.
Sayid- I don’t even remember him being on the flight.
Desmond- Interestingly enough, Desmond was on the plane, but we never saw him after that.
Michael/Walt- ???
Boone- Apparently failed to steal his sister/love of his live back. Is not dead. Still on John Locke’s nuts.
kate’s number was on the lighthouse wheel
she is #51
