The LOST thread

I wouldn’t be surprised if it will be later revealed Jack’s dad did fuck his wife. Dude gets around.

I have to admit it was pretty bland, the most info it showed was that Sawyer and Jack are stubborn as hell, and the others have some decent community on the island.

Oh yeah, and that Henry’s real name is Ben.

Something else I got out of the very end of the episode after it’s revealed Juliet is just playing Jack for a sucker is that the Others may be seeking to tame and acclimate the crash survivors to be part of their group on the island. I don’t know why else they’d go to the trouble of keeping the three of them alive as guinea pigs.

So what will we see tonight?

finally watched last week’s lost last night AND IT PISSED ME THE FUCK OFF

jesus christ do we have to go through another season with a new bitchy woman with secrets she wont spill until the end of the season? These plot devices with the others suck so much it just screams bullshit writing. LOST worked when it was a bunch of people stranded on an island and no one knew wtf was going on. When they introduce people who do know things it makes them have to artifically hide their knowledge and drag out the bigger picture in an artificially manner that is just annoying and infuriating.

The only reason I am watching this show is because of Sawyer…his is the only storyline that makes any sense right now.

And what exactly are you believing his storyline is right now? I am just curious, as I do not see him having a storyline at this point as we have seen all that we really need to know about him, and while I do like him as a character, he really just gets owned for free by Jack all the time.

That being said, I don’t like Jack. Only person I like less on the show is Charlie.

Oh shit, next week looks fucken crazy.

this show has hit the wall…HARD. another dull episode

dull? The end alone was crazy as hell.

dull. wow, we got to learn ben’s last name and that they have satellite tv. ZZzzzz

I don’t think it has necessarily hit the wall, Juliet is interesting, seeing how she obviously a siren type character, lures you in with kindness and then either lies to your face or shoots you in it.

Personally this episode was a little boring but so were the first couple opening episodes last season. At least the parts with Jin and Sun’s father were badass. Although I am surprised they flip flopped on what they appeared to have set as Sun’s status from last season.

I’m actually surprised it is still 2004 in the show.

I want to know if they got directtv hd with tivo.

Today’s episode was kinda boring…but I’m still happy that Lost still airing.

I think people just need to be patient with the mysteries. It’s not always about the mysteries. It’s also about the characters. And it isn’t like Lost producers never answers anything.

What’s in the hatch? What happens if you don’t push the button? What is the Dharma Initiative? What’s the ? on the blast door map? What’s the significance of 4 8 15 16 23 42?

All of these have been answered and you can bet that they’ll answer the question about what the Others purpose on the island is.

I’m sure once the show ends there’s still gonna be some mysteries that aren’t answered… but the majority of the ones that people actually care about will be.

Some of the mysteries have been answered in the ARG webgame that ran over the summer. It tells you what DHARMA stands for and the significance of the numbers. Really interesting. Has a ton of info about it on this site.

Ever since the first episode i knew jin was a badass. Now it’s finally coming out. The scene when he got the gun from siad and cocked it…fucking awesome.

Anyone who believed that Sun wasn’t a fucking whore is a damn idiot and is obviously a virgin if you are that pathetically clueless about women.

Decent ep though. It was implied that Jin knew she was a ho and slutted out on him, but never directly stated. Also, I wonder if dude that planted on Jin’s car was thrown, or actually jumped. Worked out well for Jin in regards to his father in law and having witnesses that he didn’t do it. If his father in law sent someone to make sure shit happened, then whatever, but if he jumped, then Jin’s father in law must have thought that Jin was pimp as hell for arranging “accidents”.

bump, half way trough tonight’s ep.

So, the only thing I’m curious about is the whole Desmond / Hurley exchange.

Yeah I agree. As fucked up as this sounds, I kinda want something something bad to happen to Sun so we can all see Jin unleash the hidden asassin dormant within.

Also the more scenes I see with Saiyd the more he reminds me of the all mighty Bauer we all know and love. The way he says Michael has been compromised to his speech about keeping two of the “Others” alive just so that he can torture them, and kill the rest. Fucking Beastly!! I’m betting that before the season is over, he is going to yell at somebody and say, “TELL ME WHERE THE BOMB IS!” or “THERE IS NO TIME!”

We got our answer at the end, though now we have to wonder if Des is some kinda psychic or can see the future or whatever. I can say, at least, that Locke’s flashback tonight didn’t make me want to make my tv asplode a la Aqua Teen. His two flashbacks last season ruined his character for me.

I also want to make a plea to the marketing people at ABC…STOP taking your “on next week’s” promo cues from fucking Dragon Ball Z. STOP making it looks like major shit’s gonna happen that all takes place within 2 minutes at the end of the episode. I have come to accept that the series has slowed to a crawl in terms of pacing and am STILL watching, so STOP trying to make me think armageddon’s going down on next week’s Lost. People like me wouldn’t be as let down if we weren’t expecting so much in the first place.

I’m on the fence on tonight’s episode. I don’t know what to think about it anymore. They go with the plot on the other side for two episodes. Then they go back to the main camp. I want something in between, maybe I’m just greedy. Next week looks pretty good, guess I’ll have to wait to see.
