The LOST thread

yeah, this season is a major improvement over the last. the flash forward idea is brilliance

Benjamin “Jesus” Linus

I doubt that he’d count as part of the Oceanic 6 or else it’d make this whole employer thing too obvious to everyone that’s on the list.

So as it stands
Kate
Hurley
Jack
[tonight’s main story]
xxxx
xxxx (possibly coffin guy)

Then the rescuers.

motherfucken BEN MEPHISTO LINUS

Tonight’s after Valentine’s day lesson: You will get shot for not having anti-pussy.

Saw it coming…

[details=Spoiler] The minute Sayid said the line about “I’d never trust you,” I knew he was working with Ben in the future. Although him being an asssassin is pretty cool, finally we flash forward on someone’s life that doesn’t completely suck.

I mean it still sucks that he is working for Ben but compared to suicide Jack and nutjob Hurley, Sayid at least looks entertaining.[/details]

Also, I don’t think coffin guy is one of the Oceanic Six, he is probably on the boat. Although what would really surprise me is if Sawyer isn’t one of them.

Damn this show for throwing another insane twist. The island has it’s own time zone, apparently. Sayid is working with Ben killing people in the future. Fuck. Flashforwarding sure is brilliant. I want to know how Ben is such a manipulative beast… he’s top tier in the lost universe.

^
Naw Ben ain’t top tier, although with all this manipulation shit he is getting close. He still can’t do shit without having assists. Although since Walt and Eko are no longer on the island, he is as close as you get what with Sayid, Desmond and Sawyer constantly putting the lady parts on pedestals. Locke and Jack just seem to damn emo at times, daddy issues abound.

I don’t know if it’s a different timezone, it just feels like it’s because of the way the island manipulates co-ordinates, it fucks shit up.

Maybe I feel that way because of how much Daniel emphasized that Frank take the same bearings to get off the island.

Some people think these episodes take place in the present, and that the island scenes are the ones that are the flashbacks.

Potayto potahto though heh. Doesn’t change anything.

That’s like saying…
Season 1’s “flashbacks” were present day while all the island shit were flashfowards

edit - when he was playing golf, I thought the golf cart was a car bomb

awesome episode! this is so much better than the crap the beginning of season 3 was.

when i saw hurley was left behind, i thought i knew who the Oceanic 6 were. Sayid, hurley, jack, kate, juliette, and desmond. But now…i have no clue.

What i think is happening

Spoiler

I think Ben is actually a good guy and Sayid realizes it once he gets on the freighter. I bet you the spy is Michael. I also think Ben is the one in the coffin.

Juliette and Desmond can’t be part of the 6 because they were never on the original flight to begin with. I’m guessing the last two are Sawyer being married to Kate and I dunno… let’s just pick a random person: Claire.

Very cool speculation SunocO. No real reason to put it in spoilers though, as it’s just guessing.

About the coffin scene though… was that and the rest of the flash forwards in Season 3’s finale… was all that taking place AFTER these flash forwards this season? If so, then yeah Ben may have been the one in the coffin. If no, then obviously that’d be impossible.

ahhhh…mindfuck

^Yeah, the only significance it has though, is whether or not the characters are actually having these flashbacks themselves. Or if it is just for us viewers to see.

Obviously if the characters are actually thinking the flashbacks, then there can be no flash forwards. Except Desmond could flash forward I guess heh.

Still like I said it doesn’t really change anything for us.

About spoiler- Ugh man if there’s ONE thing I’m gonna get pissed off about in this season, is ending up having sympathy for Ben and/or acknowledging him for ‘he is in fact doing the right thing’.

Sorry guys I just HATE Ben. As for who the Oceanic 6 might be-

I think they are

[details=Spoiler]Hurley & Jack were confirmed to being one of the 6.
I don’t think Kate, Ben nor Said are among the other 4 and might’ve gotten off the island by another means. THen again I could be wrong :D[/details]

So far the confirmed ones are:

Jack
Kate
Hurley
Sayid

That leaves two, and the rumors say they are:

rumors

Spoiler

Sun and Jin

Who knows how valid such a rumor is though. As for people thinking Sawyer is going to be one of them, what about the fact that he doesn’t WANT to leave? Obviously he could change his mind… but I think he’s pretty set on staying.

And about Ben, I’ve liked him since the first episodes he was in. I mean I don’t LIKE him, I hate him. But I enjoy hating him. He’s a great villain and a great character. He pulls most of the show these days. Which is a shame honestly, as Locke is my favorite and USED to pull the show back in the day when he was a boar hunting knife throwing mysteriously wise old man that people respected. Then the whole feud started… bleh. Now he’s emo half the time as somebody else already mentioned.

Ben’s the character with the most depth by far at this point.

Nah I dunno…from what Jack said in Ep. 1, the Oceanic 6 are supposed to be celebrities, so why was that guy freaked out when Said told him he was one of them? I have a feeling Said isn’t one of the 6, but if he does turn out to be one of them, the that’s fine by me.
Ya know what might be a neat plot twist?

If Sun

Spoiler

dies before giving birth >D

Can Michael and Walt count as the oceanic 6?

I’m thinking that Michael can be the spy on the boat.

Another of the 6, is probably Locke, if he died off the island nobody would goto his funeral.

I think Syiad is working with Ben to kill Oceanic employees/stockholders; thats why homey freaked on the gold course.
