Agreed, but that ended after season 2, with those terrible beginning season 3 episodes that made a whole host of people (myself included) jump ship

Lost is my all time favorite T.V. show but I’ve been very disappointed with the outcome of the series. When did this show seem to loose all artistic merit? Most notably a vast abundance of the episodes are directed by Jack Bender who is also a producer on the show (go figure), and the direction is fine but it’s not at all breath taking or unique. He rolls with the punches as does most of the cast and writers on this show. Daimon and Carlton seem to figure that they all have us in the palm of their hands (which they kind of do) but I’ve never seen such an intriguing premise with so many questions spin it’s wheels like this.
They also seem to waste an awful lot of time breaking up the groups, having them go to the plane, go to the boat, go back to the plane, find the station, go back to the boat, find the gizmo and go back to the plane. obviously I’m kidding but I digress. So when did general character development (which excelled in earlier seasons) come to a halt?
I find a lot of Lost to be quite an amazing experience but am utterly baffled on how the creators think that they can just cut and paste together 6 seasons of work and deliver such a poor product.
I still have faith (very little of it now) they will give us a grand finale, and all this watching, reading, and conversation will produce something worthwhile.

Something happened to KAte around season 4 and she got really busted. Occasionally she looks hot but after season 3 it was all downhill. At the same time Juliet became 100x hotter even though she’s like 50.
id’ still fuck the shit out of kate, but it wouldn’t be as epic as season 1 when she’s climbing trees non stop
I feel somewhat cheated, after first hating the jin sun episodes, then growing to really like them, they get killed off WTF >_<
The Locke “submarine twist” was kinda predictable…
loved sawyer’s line after locke told them the submarine plan - “i’ve been sayin that the whole time!” :lol:
I was also really frustrated when I realized that everything was all about them just getting to the plane. That’s it! All they had to do was have Locke “Smoke On!” and own everyone guarding the plane, plant some C4 and setup the trap. Seriously, it should not have been that hard. But then I realized that the whole reason they got everyone together to the plane in the first place was because of Hurley. Is that fool still that unlucky? Absolutely nothing about bringing the two teams together was driven by the usual mythos. It was just hurly smelling some potato chips being opened on Hydra isle and rallying everybody to go munch.
Stuff is just starting to be done for the sake of closing a character. I’d much rather them be left open-ended, but still explain everything with a good reason than doing half-cocked stuff like this. The Sub plot twist was predictable because you can expect that it’s about time for one of Saywer’s twists to go horribly wrong again. This time, however, there’s a twist within the twist when the bomb dosen’t go off but then proceeds to tick outta control. My mind immmiedietly went back to the old Jack vs. Sawyer days and the surprise effect was really satisfying.
One thing that I did realize, though, was that the skeletons holding the white and back stones can’t be Sun and Jin.

Is this horrible show over yet so and completely out on dvd? I dropped it at the end of season 2 and sporadically watched it for the last few years, but i read this thread every week to try to stay caught up haha.

anyways I thought its was funny that they had to literally point out who the two bodies were in the cave.Also when that woman knocked out MIB,and he woke up to a destroyed village and dead bodies is it possible that she was/became a smoke monster?
