Link’s full Y combo into his X shield charge ender usually breaks most humanoid boss guards that don’t have combo breaker moves on them (Dark Nut, Fat Moblin, and Gibdos are the only ones I can think of that have combo breaker on them). I usually do that on block heavy people then immediately cancel the last hit into a dodge to dig into that ass.

Also I realize that doing a perfect dodge in this game results in your character going immediately into their full sprint.

Just dodge and hold the button for a second and you go into full sprint.

Also every commander/General/Boss character can break combos.

Don’t like Hylian/Master sword Moveset much. Much Prefer the Gauntlet or Fire rod.

Hylian sword does have a good AoE and a good Guard breaker with his speed lets you get it off msot of the time. Aside from those two things I find it to be lacking.

Zelda with the Windwaker is pretty fun.

Darunia, Impa w/ Naginata, Shiek, Link w/ Gauntlet, Zelda w/ Rapier are probably my favorite to use so far.
Though I do like using everyone besides Ruto. Fi just does the CC so much better and is better against bosses too.

Also dislike Zelda’s Rapier Charges. Find her non-charged variants so much better.

Just unlocked Ganondorf and my god I love this guy. His Musou rapes and he YYYYYX DEMON DEATH SWIPE seems to take out entire bases with ease. Won’t know how truly good he is until I hit a stage where shit is hitting the fan.

I haven’t used gauntlet link much and with the fire rod outside of his yyx combo where he uses the rod as an ax I don’t like it at all. Sword is just way too versatile and strong.

This game is great, I’m a little upset that my Gamestop code for the OoT skins isn’t working though.

Call Nintendo and ask them if they can help? 1-800-255-3700. If you have a valid code, it should show up in their database and they should be able to tell you what’s going on with it, maybe issue a replacement if need be?

Unfortunately, between the time of that post and this one, my roommates threw away the receipt. Shame on me for leaving it on the living room table I guess. Oh well.

I’ve made a habit out of pressing the evade button during attacks to cancel the recovery, or to extend combos.

Cancelling Agitha’s C3 in this way will allow you to move and the bug will still come out.

Figured I’d post it here too but Sheiks Prelude of Light strong attack recharges your special meter as long as you stand in the triangle. I know a lot of people didn’t know what it did. Including me. I just found out last night while goofing around

Challenge mode is kicking my ass. You really need to be on your game to beat the challenges. Gotta know how to get the most number of kills in a single attack and such.

I’d use Ganondorf but I’m missing some important attack badges that would help, like the ones that charge your special meter faster.

That’s easy. Pick Sheik and charge her special attack. Place yourself in the middle of a large pack of enemies. Easy 70-80 KOs right there.

…unless the challenge requires you to do it without using a special attack. I haven’t tried anything other than story mode yet.

Ganondorf has the best crowd control IMO, and he doesn’t need his special.

There’s a mission where you have to get 300 KOs by only using specials. If Sheik’s special can get that many kills, then I’ll consider using her. I just found out what the prelude of light move does, so maybe she’s ideal for that challenge.

Just finished Legend mode. Loved it.

For Crowd control Shiek can shield herself with Rondo of Water and then either stock a Nocturne or charge her special and dive into the middle a crowd, making her better than Ganon (Mostly due to her shield.) Ganon will do waaaay more damage to the stronger units though, cause he hits like a nuke.
