if you have the lynel mask link does a raging demon pose.
too bad the enemies disappear too quick to get good pics

Link actually tries to do his best impersonation of each of the enemies he has the mask for when he’s standing still. His impersonation of Lizalfos and Bokoblins is pretty spot on. His impression of Lynel’s is funny since he just stands there with his chest out and trying to look buff…he’s not wrong lol.
The way how the A.I. is coded for some of the enemies is still pretty crazy. Landed at one of the shrines that had spikes all around and saw a few Lizalfos chilling on the outskirts of the spikes. Thought for sure the AI was either going to be dumb enough to just run right into the spikes or just harass me from afar. No…this guy spotted me and ran the fucking maze to talk to me at the shrine. I sat there and watched him run through the thing to get to me. Was kind of like an ‘…well…alright then!’ moment. I was also on Eventide and jumped down from the top of a cliff to land on top of the Hynox and stole the ball off his chest. Hynox chased me for a tiny bit and then was like ‘eh…going back to sleep’. So once I got up on the cliff I decided to harrass him with some of the boulders that were at the top of the cliff. Hinox woke up, stared at me and then started lumbering his way over. Was like ‘What you gonna do man? Just go back to sleep you ain’t comin up here!..You ain’t…uh…You uh…peers over the side path and sees the Hinox still coming up…uh…I still don’t believe…Hinox is now completely at the top NOPE…jumped off the side of the cliff’ Also interesting is how Lizalfos like to play keep away at times but the moment you try to pull out a bow to shoot them they start dashing in and try to weave on their way into you to make you miss. And they don’t do that unless you have a bow out. Most of the time they’ll run straight at you.
It’s those touches that make this game so amazing. Enemies aren’t the dumb ones from years past. They try to get sneaky or play dirty when they can.
i just wish the enemy ai used its smarts a little more instead of rushing in. i see very smart stuff every once in a while but a lot of times the game doesn’t like to use it.
hopefully hard mode will have ai that legitimately wants to beat you
So I looked it up but I finally found the final Great Fairy Fountain. No wonder I couldn’t find it initially. [details=Spoiler] Gerudo Desert is where it is located and you have to head into a sand storm.[/details] She definitely has the best upgrade animation.
i never understood the great faries. why are there multiple locations? why not just use the one at kakariko village?
two separate play throughs and no idea why i should care about them. i just used the one in kakariko but tbh i almost never need to upgrade anything
With that attitude, why have anything that’s collectible and upgradeable in the game?
Why have the dragons, or the Lost Woods, or the Master Sword even, since there are several weapons that outclass it…
There’s multiple locations because their upgrades get exponentially better with each one you find. If you don’t feel armor upgrades are worth it, then there’s no point for you to even look for them anyway.
i play zelda games because i enjoy logic puzzles and exploring worlds.
i almost always avoid upgrades that dont do anything other than stat boost.
the lost woods is an experience that hits me at my core. that music combined with the atmosphere is basically heaven to me. hyrule as a whole is a place id want to be in
is it just defense and set bonuses?
Yes.
I understand. I know I got a reputation for being an asshole(some deserved, some not), but I can respect that position.
You don’t care about numbers and defense, since skill can offset any numerical disadvantage- As someone who fights tooth and nail with the “competitive” Pokemon community about exactly that philosophy, I definitely see where you’re coming from.
Respect.
I think the answer for “why is this in the game” for a lot of BotW is that they needed SOMETHING to fill this big ass map.
Upgrading the armor makes silver lynels merely tickle you
The Lost Woods was a really great experience, I agree. And it was due to the atmosphere and that music. Just perfect.
I like being able to move faster at night with my ninja sheikah armor. I used to have a personal default look for Link if I didn’t need specific clothes ('default link for me: Hylian Hood, rock climber shirt and hylian trousers). Now since you get speed boost at night I’m mostly running around as a ninja.
I still gotta find 1 more great fairy, I’ll find it eventually. Been combing through areaa with gaps trying to look for shrines as I make my way super slowly towards Death Mountain.
BOTW has my favorite version of the Lost Woods. The mist, those freaky looking trees, the music. So good.
anybody get this game at launch and still playing it? i am lol. i love this game. im pretty close to getting all the shrines. i know the reward for it. seems worth it especially considering the shrines are fun
Almost everyday still.
Had to look it up but I got the Rubber armor! I forgot how important talking to people can be. Anyway, COME AT ME LIGHTNING!!!
