The Legend of Zelda thread - Ganon's bodyshop will be open for business on Nov. 20th

question, you know how you get new tools when you beat a dungeon?

theres the one that you get when beating vah naboris or whatever.

how do you use it? it says charging with y, but i think i just get the normal charged sword thing

Golden bow’s pretty nice. Should keep it for hunting.

I always wondered if enemies could get hit by lightning for using metal weapons… yep lol

Oooh I like this shrine quest.

Spoiler

It’s the one on Eventide Island. All your stuff is gone, and you need to complete the quest using stuff you find on the island.

Just made it to this shrine in the middle of the desert but can’t get in because this thirsty pum pum blocking the entrance. Can fast travel back to the shrine either smdh that was a hike.

The whole western part of the map feels really ominous compared to the rest. I really enjoy how the atmosphere changes from region to region. It’s really well done.

Just did one of the mazes you can find. Found some treasure and made baaaaaaaaaank.

Fun tip for you guys; try and get to the top of either side of the Dueling Peaks, if you haven’t already. You’ll find an interesting puzzle there.

Do you mean the shrines?

Yeah, those. I spotted one of the shrines on top earlier on but didn’t attempt to get up there until just now.

It’s kinda clever considering the theme of the location.

Are there any clothes for really cold regions? I put on the doublet thinking I was gonna be able to hike up the mountains with it to get to a memory. Hooooly hell was I wrong lol. That temperture meeter dipped aaall they way over. I ate a 4 min pepper dish and barely made it before it ran out with ice keese. Asshole hiding lizalfos and ice chuchus coming at me from dif directions. Had to just run past them cause I didnt have time to deal with their shit.

…I haven’t actually checked out the armor shops since my first day of playing, I’m still sporting the Zora armor (and the warm doublet occasionally). I should do that and see what they have

…side note…

[details=Spoiler]That Zora Armor doesn’t make any sense. When you get the leggings they claim you can swim as well as a Zora now…yet even with both the armor and leggings equipped swim speed barely goes up and you still drown trying to cross a river. Yet you can superspeed up a waterfall with no issue.

Hyrule logic I guess.[/details]

I know you guys are nowhere near done, but where would y’all rank BotW with the other Zelda games? Or is it such a black sheep its unfair to compare like when Resident Evil 4 came out.

Spoilering in case you haven’t found the location yet. But if you wanna know then fuck it. Lol

[details=Spoiler]
The Rito village at the Hebra region to the north west sells some warm clothes. Be prepared to spend 500+ on just one item of clothing.

This game just gets better

JUST GOT THE MASTER SWORD

Not going to spoil anything about it though.

Heh, I found it early on already

Spoiler

…but I couldn’t actually acquire it. Been grinding trying to get enough for it. How many heart containers did it take?

Yeah I remember reading your post.

[details=Spoiler]
I had a lot of orbs that I hadn’t cashed in so I bumped myself up to 15 hearts and that did the trick. Looked like at least 13 might have worked. Basically be prepared to have at least 45-50 shrines completed with all your upgrades going towards health.

Another shrine down.

Spoiler

This was one of those “major tests of strength,” I think it’s the same one Plaid_Unicorn attempted a while ago; the one on the lone island all the way to the east. That thing had 3000HP and would one-shot you if you had less than 12 hearts. Beat it on the second try once I saw how obvious its tells were. Still a fun fight though and gave me an axe with a whopping 60 power. This’ll definitely come in handy.

Spoiler

Damn. I only have 9 hearts right now, and am only at 3 spirit orbs in stock. So I’ve only completed 27 shrines so far (one of the heart containers is from one of the Divine Beasts and I invested one stock into stamina early on). Guess I gotta just seek out more

My favorite picture I’ve taken so far… no idea why:

@LordWilliam1234 you inspired me to give it another go.

Have you tried upgrading the warm doublet? I don’t know if it raises the resistance though.
