Actually I do the same… I would have let WakeupSuper choose Ryze mid and I would have gone Katarina top, I was stupid.
It’s more about the moral of the team than Kat&eve being bad picks, eve will rock any game if she has 10 kills@20minutes but if your team is going full tilt because they think its lost already…
Everytime I enter a room and I pick kat, most of the teams go full CC so i can connect the full ult… Or pick mumu so I can do a free Ult.

If you’re worried about ELO, why NOT play ranked right now? If season 3 resets ELO anyway, this is really consequence free practice. With the ELO reset, if everyone at platinum comes back to 1200 for the reset, that means that all the shit 700 ELO players also come back to 1200. You’re really taking your chances there.
I dunno if any of you guys have been doing this, but what I do with my playgroup is after a game, I use LoLReplay and stream the replay to my twitch.tv and we all watch it and go over key points, discuss, learn, etc.
I tried to stream my LoL play but my fps drops to around 20-25ish and I can’t really last hit that well when I try it. Maybe if I were jungling it’d be tolerable, fuckin Azingy streams on 12-15 fps
not talking about streaming while playing. talking about streaming the replay file.
if you don’t use lolreplay, then you might not get what I’m talking about?

replaying replays can be buggy sometimes. but it capturing the data stream while playing has never cause me any problems.

for the most part you’ll be reading patch notes individually. but the biggest changes are the new champs
Ahh I see. I pretty much started falling off when Ahri was released and pretty much completely stopped playing before Lulu hit. it looks like mostly new heroes and some remakes. Guess I’ll play bot matches for awhile to get back into things.
Bot matches are just gonna make you too aggressive. Play blind pick if you just wanna practice controls again and such.

So here is my input.cfg for LoL
It goes in: LoLFolder\Config.
The file, as is, is:
QWER are abilities as usual, but they are smartcast.
Shift+QWER = slowcast
Ctrl+QWER = Level Up ability
Alt+QWER = Smartcast on self
DF are summoner spells as usual, but again they are set to smartcast.
Shift+DF = slowcast
1-6 = Items, smartcast
Shift+1-6 = slowcast items
F1-4 = emotes. very important
A = attack move
~ and V = target champs only
Ctrl + LeftClick and Alt+LeftClick are the two pings, I forget which is which.
Reasons to use smartcast over slowcast.

Smartcast = Aim, Button
In chase situations, I’ve immediately seen an improvement in getting those just-pixels-in-range abilities off when I switched to smart cast. Your’s going from three actions to two actions, if we’re even counting aiming as an action. If we don’t, then we’re cutting the steps needed by half. -
It’s more accurate.
Where your abilities originate and where they go are different from where the targeting reticle originate from and aims at. The two draw their data from two different sources. The most recent evidences of this is when EZ’s plusefire skin had more range than the other EZ skins. Other evidences can be found in patch notes on how they fix’d ranges to line up with targeting and vice versa, or your skill shots just plain not going where you aim, etc, etc. -
Smoother translation of thought to action.
Having to pull up the reticle kinda puts you in the hole. “Oh no didn’t see that guy coming” Do I do the shot anyways? Or do pull up targeting for another skill? You’re either pressed to do something you shouldn’t be doing, or you’re slow to do what you should be doing. For you guys who still use slowcast, I’m sure you all don’t even use the targeting anymore. Smartcasting is actually easier to use, it’s just intimidating to think about not having it. (But it’s still there with shift+QWER)
So there’s the file, just drop it in and you can start using smartcasting without having to lose your slowcasting like if you did it via the in-game keybind menu.
started smartcasting a while ago. havent gone back since. sometimes ill use slow casting for drag and drop spells like rumble ult or vik laser. but other than that its a whole lot easier. lets you breeze through combos as an ap caster.
I have no idea how anyone can play a champ like Katarina or Cass WITHOUT it
