General Mags questions

I’ve been playing MvC2 for sometime(only seriously for a yr) But here go the newb questions. How does one trijump? how do you AD-DF? And are there any just generally good mags combos to know to set this up? I’m a pretty decent Cable(TKAHVB comes natural thanks to SSF2:ST and no spamming the fpxxqcf+lp)and IM player. I’m dropping IM for Mags, and can’t seem to find a good third team mate. I’ve tried psylock, sent and iceman…sadly iceman worked the best… :rolleyes: Any advice and help with the above questions would be nice.

So has anyone ever made a video showing the hands while they’re doing the ROM? I think that’d be helpful.

everytime i freakin air dash down and lk lk it doesnt connect why is that? but on sent man i can inf his ass all day help me with this stupid ass problem so i get my magz on point

Seeing that you do it on sent but can’t pull it of on anyone else means that you’re doing it too fast. In between the two lks on the way up and then the air dash lk lk you need to pause. So it’s like sj up, lk, lk, pause, ad df lk (short pause) lk. Hope that helps

seriously i think using claw method has a better execution rate than slide.anyway im using a modified claw method.whem im lk,lk on the way up i use index finger,then when im about to ad.d i hold down and press lp[index finger]hp[middle finger]lk[thumb] together like using a claw to grab sumthing,after that the last lk i resume back using my index finger,and somehow i can do it without timing probably due to the time taken to switch my index finger with thumb when airdashing

Yes, it can be. I set one of the triggers to HP+HK, though.

wait but that doesn’t make sense what will setting a button to hp+ hp do? all I need is the 2 punches to light kick, HK isn’t involved please explain.

well…after about an hour of practice…I CAN ROM!!! ON PAD!!! god it feels so good to rom on pad it’s like boxing blind folded and winning =D

I can actually do it on a controller, but I learned on a stick. If at all possible get a stick, cause learning on a controller is terribly hard. Can you do it consistantly??

The ROM inf. is so easy for me. I can do it on both DC gamepad and stick. If you are going to compete against others at the arcade I suggest you get accustomed to the arcade stick.

This might be a kind of dumb question, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a good video that has the ROM in it so I can get the timing down good. I can execute all the commands just fine, I just can’t connect my first [sj. lk, lk, addf lk, lk] consistently enough. For some reason, if I hear the combo, it helps me a lot!! Thanks in advanced if anyone can help me out! I appreciate it! :slight_smile:
