It’s still only your OPINION, I’ll still learn her and play with her once I do. EVERYONE has some drawback but since she’s not on the highest of the tier list she has a bit more. I did notice that she does a lot of stun damage, though, when I was trying combos. One of my main reasons to learn her is BECAUSE she needs more work to play with. I tried a bit of block stun combos and doing 3-4 sways back and forth gets tiring.
I need A LOT more practice to feel comfortable and do those without trying much.

Well you can do what you like. I’ve been playing Van for a while and I kinda know what she can do. I think my opinion matters since I’m one of the best in this country at the game. Take my suggestions for this character anyway.
Doesn’t matter if you’re the best in the WORLD. I’d still play her. Yea, I take suggestions for characters from a few high level players but, overall, I make the final decision in who I play with. I’ve just seen you post a couple of times about how NOT to choose her and how she’s sooo bad, blah, blah, blah. Otherwise, I wouldn’t of said anything. And saying you’re the best in this country at KOF XI doesn’t mean much. As Dark Geese once said all the best players are in Mexico.:wgrin:

Everyone loses and I know learning a character real well will bring a few losses. Go back to playing KGO if that’s all you want to do rather than have fun and actually play the game for the matches and not the wins.

Well, you’re pretty much saying that if I’m gonna play with a low tier then all I’m going to do is lose. Whichever, don’t really care…gonna be playing something else for a while since there’s regionals coming up and they NEVER have KOFXI on it which is a bit disappointing.
just saying man…Vanessa’s low tier…everybody pretty much runs Gato and/or Kula…who you don’t really have to be all that good with in the first place to be deadly with…when it comes down to comparison…the match up’s probably about 50% who’s the better player and about 50% Gato/Kula’s shit just beats a lot of Vanessa’s stuff in the face.
Oh yea, fully aware of all that. I’m only trying to increase the amount of people that I CAN play with. Overall my best team right now is Kula, K’, E.beth (L). I used to play Gato as leader but winning like that got a little boring for me. I plan on learning Oswald since Gato is by far my least favorite of the S tiers. I’m also starting to accept the fact that not too many people actually play this game in the states at a high level. I played a little KOFXI at an arcade, owned practically for free and that was BEFORE I even knew all these combos and match-ups. I think it was that I had a fairly good Kula but come on. I’d also play NGBC more but 1/3 vs matches it’s one of those laggy maps. I should probably ask this in the NGBC thread but is there anyway of choosing maps in that game? I couldn’t find anything the last time I played and haven’t touched the game since.
No way of choosing maps in NGBC thus thats why tournaments will be on the JAP version at all times…
Stages are randomly selected like KOFXI…but it makes it worse because one of the default stages IS a laggy stage.
