The KOFXI Thread Version III-EVO World Team Tournament: Team Juarez v. Cali v. Japan!

Duo Lon is surely one of the most fun characters in the game…some argue Gai…Jyazu and others like Oswald…but Duo Lon (L) is certainly right up there…

Oswald is the shit! THAT IS ALL! Where is the bandwagon??!!

Any good King footage (match videos preferably)?

RAMON / RALF FOR LIFE :lovin:

I find kinda creepy that there are some guys out the that consistently land the ace finisher. I haven’t really read the Oswald stuff from the directory but the fact that there so many ways now to link into his LDM makes him all the more solid.

BTW there was this one vid that i saw where the comboing Oswald player dream canceled and guess what? His opponent ducked the LDM. Lols… Don’t know the technicalities behind that though. Just found it funny.

Wow the directory of threads and posts that Dark Geese arranged was really “super” (in a South Park queer way)?!!?

I mean with all those Gato and Kula cheap tricks… Man… Everybody is going to sell out to KGO…

Specially with the Gato stuff… It’s like seeing Tekken 6 Devil Jin brokenness…

'course gato takes more skill/reflexes/thinking to use though.

Thing is theres more Kula and Gato tricks where that came from…some I didnt even do at NEC8…or in that footage…

Ramon is a fun character too though!!

Thanks for the props misterpoon…lol.

t6 d. jin is that bad?

cuz gato is wayyyyyyyyy too good in kofxi.

as far as i know, d.jin got toned down CONSIDERABLY so i have no idea what hes talking about. i know miguel, leo, and one other i cant remember right now are looking like top3 so far

gato is broken

Okay sorry in advance KOF (I’ll get back to kof xi, i promise.) fans but i will answer the comment as to TEKKEN! LOLS.

In the tekken series there were 8 frame jabbers and 10 frame jabbers. In T6 AFAIK the 8 framers or most of them (notably bryan) lost their speed and became ten framers. And in the world of 10 framers Devil jin (along with other mishimas) had the best and most damagaing knock down string that leads to okizeme.

Add to that the fact that Dev Jin has the best LOW/MID mix ups (practically unseeable courtesy of the mishima wave dash; its a guessing game) that at least lead into 50%-60% combos (yes and they are juggles that are much easier to execute than Gato’s dream cancel combos; it’s as easy as doing Kula’s BnB combo. Yes it is, really…). My god this guy’s damage potential is insane.

Devjin has the best and quickest “safe” launcher in the game (ewgf at 13frames). Don’t say that it’s high since there are cancels to remedy this that still dish out half bar damage combos (crouch cancel). Mind you a lot of mids end in a disadvantage of -13frames and more (think of kula’s DP priority).

And in a 3d game like tekken 6 moves that track are great. Devil jin does not only have what he needs, he has an arsenal of them. From u/f+4 to b,f+2… wave dash to ff+2 tracks too and that leads to okizeme… etc…

His command throw gives hella great damage.

Dont even think that the Jap players are using him to his full potential. Wait for the Korean vids.

That’s just my two cents; kinda pissed off since i stopped using him (his gameplay is very similar to the old ttt/t3/t5/tkdr jin which i find too old school for my taste), and i will be facing a lot of good Devil jins here. TKDR Devil Jin was really UBER strong. T6 Dev jin is tkdr Jin with some new stuff (crazy blind/bounce juggles).

ANYWAY, BACK TO KOF xi.

Dark Geese with that info alone i am thoroughly convinced in using K and G as part of my main line up. I thought that this old Jap tourney on youtube (with 10 or more fights) was good but this “mexican-esque” maneuvers are something else.

Anywho, I am not very familiar with the cross ups (stuff that can screw up your opponents blocking) in KOF XI. Do you guys know of any basic set ups (it would be great if it were for gato or kula).

Something like…

Uh you roll so… uh… LOLS… call it a “roll-up”. Wow crazy stuff really.

The Gato/Kula techniques will soon be revealed (and Dark Geese will be flamed by his K/G user buds specially his Mexican friends). It’s like showing the “prestige” of every magic trick… Wow more cheapness into K and G. Could it possibly be a Gato frame trap… Hmmmm…

I haven’t sold out completely ( i haven’t looked into the Oswald stuff yet)…

On a final note, Gato may “subjectively” (ok objectively as well) be broken. But he can be broken with style. Dev Jin on the other hand is simply the master of cheapness (yeah his wave/light dash stuff are old and archaic, its not flashy anymore). Wave dash sucks compared to Hyper-Hop flashiness!

Hyperhop isn’t flashy in the slightest, dude.
And Gato dream cancels are hella easy. They just aren’t done much because there’s not much point in using 3 bars + 1 skill point to do a bit more than you would have done using just 2 bars.

Jumping D with Gato- Just do it, it will connect on either side like all the time.

Lols G’s LDM is easy (at least i practiced this to get it consistent, since i am a scrub at 2d fighting button executions. But damn compared to that u can do dev jins combos with one hand amputated.

I found this very amusing. (Sorry i made the mistake as stating merely the hyper hop, but what i meant was this).

Kinda flashy don’t you think?

I’ll try it. What about spacing though? Anywho thanks a lot dude.

Anymore cross up set ups anyone?

Just jump and do it lol. It has good range too for non-crossups.

If the opponent is crouching jump b will cross him up and its a 1 frame attack like Young Geese’s in NeoWave…use that and when I get some stuff done I will come and tell you some more stuff…

I dont have the game here to test this (im on vacations) but i want to know something, wich one of this combos is a 100% stun?

Shen, J.D, s.C, f.B, qcf p QS to Adel, jD,s.C, b.B, qcf d

or

Shen, J.D, s.C, f.B, qcf p QS to Griffon, j.D, s.A, S.D, df D, qcb b

??

on wakeup a meaty hh.C with Kula is pretty fierce, besides that her j.B cross up’s as well (at least for me it does)

I believe that US XI for PS2 is faster than US XI in Arcades.
Weird little problem there.

EDIT: I came up w/ a way for Vanessa to go from ground to infinite w/ her leader.
That means you don’t have to use that stupid charge punch (does less damage though)
It also works anywhere on screen for average Leader damage (excluding the infinite)

hcf+C freecanceled into qcf+B, A?

My house on 1-3-08:

only watched a few but you guys need hh in your gameplay, and learning all possible high/low combo start ups would help keep your opponent guessing which way to block.
