I’ve seen it in plenty of japanese matches unless I’m seeing something else then. Not saying that you are wrong or anything.

What kind of gates are you using on those sticks? Square or Octo? Do you feel one is better then the other?
Should be square gate, i don’t think we use octo gates for fighting games in arcade cabinets here. Buttons and sticks should be sanwa.
I don’t think i’ve ever played on an octo gate before so i can’t really compare. 
I hope someone here is posting those links over at Ignition’s forums, so they can tell SNK about it.
