I wonder if Chizuru’s hcf + lp hits downed opponents in UM…
I’ll probably be playing Chizuru (seems to be unchanged)/ Krauser (walking rape machine)/ Mai or EX Mai (my favourite character, probably buffed now so I won’t switch her), and perhaps Geese (because he’s Geese).
I’m sad to read (according to orochinagi) that normal Ryo got severely nerfed. He’s one of my mains in '98 
LWK I’ve seen EX Yamazaki and he looks to be his Real Bout self actually… hes got his Sand Kick back and if it hits he can do an OTG move to follow it… Krauser and Iori I’d say as of right now are the top two best characters in the game…Iori surely has the tools to take Krauser down it seems…I see Krauser lose more vs. Iori than win…
There was one dude in one of those Korean videos that had a 14 win streak with Krauser in his team lol

EX Yama is looking good, No word on Goenitz yet, Billy still can zone, EX Billy looks decent, Daimon is good but he aint as powerful as 98 Reg.

Played some matches today.
Eiji is really good. 214C comes out quick, lasts forever, anti air and stops opp from getting close easy. 236C covers 3/4 screen, oh well. Air 236C is okay for surprise factor but don’t abuse it. 623C deflects projectile. Jump B can cross up too? well J B > standing D (2 hit) > ~ is an easy combo. 2363214C this projectile super seems to have upper body invincibility which is great against okizeme although it loses low attacks a couple times.
Krauser is the second most popular character in that machine, after Iori of course. The main thing that makes him scary is his total invincible super (2141236C I think?), it beats other 2363214C that’s how good it is. So once he got a meter you really have to play around that move.
Geese’s raging storm has invinciblity while the EX one has none.
Mr.Big is really similar to the NGBC version. 2A and 5A pokes are still great.
Daimon’s 6A is quite amazing. On counter hit 236C is guaranteed afterward. Mix it up with 2D can be annoying.
King’s standing C and D are still great. Standing C seems last a bit longer, lol? 63214C finally knocks opp down on hit. EX King’s surprise rose has invincibility but it’s super. Also it hit opp to0 high in the air it could whiff.
Chizuru didn’t change much. I think her 623A’s hit box is bit smaller.
Athena’s psycho ball > teleport is still unblockable! But what surprises me the most is her command grab seems to have invincible start that it beat Eiji’s wake up 2363214C and other moves!
To fight Gonetiz you have to get a high score, and to fight Orochi you have to use super to finish opp as much as possible.

This is what I was waiting to hear. I noticed that this move looked very good in early loke vids, but I hadn’t seen anyone abusing it since. Good to know that it is actually a good move.
EX Billys new rising super looks pretty good actually…he looks better than he did in reg. 98. Yeah EX Billy was horrible in 98.

everything is looking great; UM seems to maintain the oldschool feel yet breathe enough life into the formula to keep it new and interesting.

Yes for EX Geese dont use Raising Storm. The strategy seems to be to use his Holy Gates instead, which does good damage for a level one super.
Geese I dont know if you’re in area able to play this but if you are and dont mind getting a game with goenitz or two, id appreciate it. Hes my 2nd absolute favorite KOF char next to yama.

Depends on how they play legally and what the determined rules are for the official tournaments etc…Thats gonna determine a lot…if not they will always be casual characters…
I REALLY hope goenitz is tourney legal. Hes like in NO KoF games. What is he in? I havent seen him in any of the ones Ive played.
