There is one frame on the opponent’s wakeup where they cannot do anything about Daimon’s earthquake. Timing it to come out exactly on that frame may seem hard but you can whiff specific moves in a sequence such that your earthquake comes out exactly on the frame required…but the setups are different for each character since not all characters get up at the same speeds.
The timings seem to have changed so new unblockables need discovery. We should at least verify if it is at all possible to hit them on that one frame.
A master Ramon in 2002 and NeoWave though was no joke…if you can master Ramon lockdown for many in the game its hard to get out of without CD countering, Guard Rolling etc. Many didnt have many answers for Ramon lockdown.
DG, ive been playing with Ex kensou, and hes fun, hes got a I think 50% BC combo in the corner (2 bars) , but im still trying to figure a way to combo his HSDM, I know you can do it from air qcb + P, but that stupid thing isnt comboable as normal kensous.
so…i dont know…any ideas? or its definitely imposible to combo that thing?
Let me get to work on it…since I can’t get Gualberto right now (hes seems to still be working) I gotta find something to do…

I’ve actually been training in this game when I’ve had the time. Got the braindead Iori and Yama BC combos down tight. What’s your opinion on O. Chris? I really think the slow-ass fireball super, despite only hitting three times has some interesting oki setups. For example, you have your basic hyperhop high/low/fakeout mixup, but you are guaranteed a free juggle hit if you land it, including an Orochinagi for some pretty stupid damage. Sure, your best combo is gonna be a BC ending with hcf+k, dp+c canceled into Orochinagi, but if you want to get fancy, you can cancel the hcf+k into fireballsuper. You’ll still launch them, but the fireball won’t connect. So, when they get up (and since they only have backwards recovery roll) they have the fireball right in their face and a free mixup or tick setup. I think the move gives him a couple of new mindgames, just don’t let Athena reflect that thing. :lol:

I think O.Chris is pretty legit…I like the new fb, adds a lot to what he can do in the corner even from a lockdown POV…
So I think that moves O. Chris up the tier list with the new possibilities he has in this game.
Maybe we should play sometime no???
**EDIT: **Heres a Nameless 60% BC combo I came up with and its a test of my new Sound Card +Microphone setup I will be using from here on out.
The sound is so powerful it drowns out my voice lol. The difference on the other one (The default sound card that came with my laptop and this external sound card+ microphone) is that the music drowns out from time to time, but not on this one…

Heres part II I’m still trying to find the perfect location for the microphone and how high/low to turn the volume so I’ve been playing with it a bit…and its so sensitive (the microphone) that I surely don’t need to turn the volume up loud…I’m gonna try to play with Gualberto tomorrow to get that last minute pre-Final Round prep…

Sure thing…and I’m still toying around with my mic and new setup…last night I had to talk softer and keep things low because people were asleep…but now you dont have people complaining that you can’t hear the music etc…
So I really have complete control with this setup…thats what I like…and I wanna make sure its superior for when I release the DVDs for the Raging Storm Major…so I’m gonna do a lot of testing today (Hopefully me and Gualberto can play).
Also in regards to Final Round, I can put anything that’s not top 8 on youtube in the SNK matches, top 8 if I record it I can’t put it on youtube…

Call me lame, but Normal Challenge 24 is still giving me trouble. I guess I’m just not familiar with enough characters to formulate a 20hit combo without using a DM. Anyone have any reccomendations on a easy to perform combo?
Yep me and Kane BlueRiver have been down that road before…it requires you getting down the first part of that transcript I just posted up with Nameless…
But, before that comboing in the beginning either a Jump A or Jump C, and trying to do it in the corner.
So:
- Jump A or Jump C in the corner with Nameless INTO:
- Do that combo I have UNTIL the Dp+C, Dp+A part
- Instead of the Dp+C,Dp+A cancel into qcf+a.
This takes work but it should work. You can also look on youtube many people are putting up ways to complete the challenges.
The main part with Nameless is the buggy activation part…this screws up everything if you dont adjust to holding forward while doing it.

If she had a BT infinite you sure that would be it? F+A st.C pushes her back too far…unless the timing is stricter wouldn’t it be f+C, forward+a?
it works on every character fine for me…
I’ve been doing some research and yes it does work and looks to be an infinite…but you gotta get the timing down. The problem with this infinite is its not easy to get the opponent on their back with Hinako…
Jump C crosses up but I cant think of too much more to work.

And yes you Al will get credit with the discovery unless someone else found it first… I’ve seen many variations of the infinites posted to me and none of them worked…the 2001 variations etc…those didnt work…but now I got the timing down for this one and it does work.

Tip for the 20-hit combo:
Use Lin. Walk the opponent to the corner, activate Max Mode (BC), then:
standing C (two hits), qcf+A/C (poison stab), cancel into hcb+D (jumping multi-kick), juggle with dp+C (multi-stab)

Thanks for the tip, somewhat associated question… and I kinda feel retarded for asking this… but…was the combo DVD only included with a certian number of retail purchases? Because mine didn’t come with one… would it have been inside the PS2 case? or was it shipped along side the game? or am I expected to put the PS2 game in my PC or something? Just kinda sucks since I pre-ordered from Play-Asia quite a while ago.
