The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match Thread

The 2002UM netcode won’t come close to satisfying high standards, but considering this is the only way to play 2002UM online, I’m willing to deal with a little bit of lag. Never had a lagfest, just some spikes here and there.

Honestly though, I like 2002UM enough that I’d have bought it without any online, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

thanks a bunch Emil. Hopefully I can more info on her since I dont see much on the forums in regards to her.

Shiki- Thanks. Her cancel off DP has insane timing. What the hell!

not that insane just buffer another qcf +C, and then hold forward and piano A,C for her air slash as soon as the screen finish flashing.

Execution control series: Pad vs. Stick

Pad:

Whip’s Boomerang SC hcf+C into Sonic Slaughter- qcb, hcf+A or C = Easy

Kula’s Crow bite dp +C SC into Freeze Execution hcb x2+A+C = Easy

I figured performing those buffers on arcade stick is difficult any advice on how to do it? Those are just examples that I am putting out there for strict commands and timing. I feel that it is a lot easier to perform on the pad no lie.

peace out cUDDY:cool:

ps3 port… plz… take my money

Anyone worried about balance should read this paragraph.

Does anyone play this on xbl?
I’m planing on getting it and was just wondering.

The netcode isn’t very good.

ahh sucks :frowning:
i wanted some practice for kof 13

Can anyone direct me to the changes on '98 and '02 UM FE? Thanks.

peace out cUDDY:cool:

There’s no '02UM FE.

Try GGPO, 98 and 02 will at least teach you fundamentals.

Ok good for 2k2 UM then I’m glad that I don’t have to relearn the changes of the game. but can you show me the changes that they did in 98 UM even though it’s a 2k2 thread?

peace out cUDDY:cool:

U mean changes from 98 to 98UM? It’s a lot of changes, just pick your chars and test in the practice mode and u’ll notice.

I mean the final edition version.

Sorry I’m not familiar with that game. Watch some videos and maybe you will notice some (assuming you know how 98/98UM works).

I’ve been fucking around with this game and I’m really surprised that it isn’t more popular. It just seems so fun to play.

It is more popular on Asia and Europe. In americas it isn’t, sadly.

As a Euro, I can assure you this isn’t true. There’s a teeny little bit of play in Britain, maybe France, but not a single place has something that could be considered a proper scene.

France has got a bigger scene than Britain, but it’s still very small. Consider yourself lucky when the number of participants in a 2k2UM tourney is over 20.
