We need a dedicated match up thread really. Im decent so far, doing ok, paired our boy with ryu an they’re real solid despite the lack of combo synergy.
So what matchups are people struggling with? Good julias lock me down an make me afraid to press buttons. Heihachi can be a real pain. Rolentos. Damn the list goes on.

I hate fighting Juri too, but there are a few things that u have to keep in mind:
-u have a faster walk speed than her, the problem is her jump roundhouse/divekick owns ure sad cr fierce. Best thing to do is to be outside her jump ranges and make her block cr lks (imo one of the, if not the best cr lk in the game). Do resort to jump back fierce/rh as an aa, its much more reliable vs crossups/divekick attempts than cr fierce. In fact, if shes harrassing u with dive kicks in the corner, a simple jump back ala sf4, will make the move totally whiff and give u a deadly jump in combo on her.
-dont test her aa
-she is at -3 on dive kicks and pinwheel (if im not mistaken). now u dont have a 3 frame move, but u can still press buttons before she does (preferably cr lk, cr jab wont reach most times/max range dive kicks).
-she controls the air, even if shes jumping back. I cant tell u how many times my friend is jumping backwards, i jump to hit him and i eat a dive kick (which btw i saw beat a deep TIGER UPPERCUT clean, so stupid, but it is what it is).
-if u knock her down, she is fucked, her reversal options are pretty bad, and imo kazuya has the 2nd best oki in the game, after rufus (but his is derpy, ures is classy).
I don’t agree. Frame 1 counter is ridiculous and if you predict it and go for a throw you’re not really getting much out of it.

What’s the easiest way to do the mist step with the controller??
A d-pad usually auto inputs the neutral for you when you move from f to d, so it’s less awkward that way. Crouchdashing in Tekken on pad was very much like a standard DP motion in SF. You need a bit more emphasis on the neutral in this game because of the way the game handles inputs. DP motion on less than max input speed should give Mist Step.
Easiest way is f,QCF.
You can wavedash easily by spamming QCF. This did not work in Tekken.
What do I do against rufus? I cant tell if I will get crossed up - ever and I dont know how to stop his pressure.
I think if you’re crouching you’ll get crossed up and if standing you wont.

b.hk works good in a poke war and knocks down/crumple on counterhit. Other than that I have a horrible time keeping him out.
So this might be a general issue, but why can Cammy spam jab in my face?
because its a 3 framer and +3 on block, no choice but to respect it up close
Either that or just cross cancel it when you know that the jab is coming and you’re in the middle of its hit stun (granted that the hit stun duration is small).
