Dude, Juri gets such high damage off of random shit when she has super stocked. I almost feel bad when I win by doing M Pinwheel/cr.H --> j.H/j.H/EX dive kick/X move here XX Super and get 45-55% health.

Quick question. Is everyone saving their meter for Super/Cross Art for Juri? She has such high damage without EX that I’ve been finding myself building a ton of free meter.

I don’t know about everyone else but that’s the case for me, I haven’t touch meter much so far, and its so easy to confirm into her super now that I just spend it on that or save the meter for my second character.

Juri’s damage is pretty freakin’ good without the use of meter, it’s just a luxury for her, I mean you can get great damage off of pretty much anythinhg with at least one fuhajin stored. Hell, sometimes you don’t even need one if you get a cr.hp anti-air, thats a free 400-600. I save meter for my second character since she doesn’t really need it, and hey, free King muscle buster combos. <3

From what I’ve seen Juri has amazing damage output when mixed with Akuma. Me and my friend phil got that tag goin on and we have an easy guaranteed half health combo basically.
Akuma: Anything into cross rush
Juri: (juggle after rush) c.lk>c.lk>c.mk>super
That setup is ALWAYS 500+ damage for us. Also it seems that Juri should always end a cross art. I have yet to see a cross art that does more damage when she starts it. Sorry if any of this is already known. I don’t feel like going through the 6 pages of messages before mine x(. Also anyone got good switch cancels for this team? We’re trying to make a switch cancel work off tatsu or shoryuken but its not going great right now.

Good damage off a cross rush, but I dunno if I’d use the meter off a switch in unless it was a kill (just me). And like you I don’t wanna go thorugh 6 pages either. As for your switch cancel I’m not too sure…just keep experimenting, I myself am still trying to find a decent one for Juri/King :frowning:

Juri actually has great switch cancels with Law. Cancel the first hit of EX fury fist, and if you charge pinwheel early enough you get a wall bounce to a no-meter super. or if the enemy is in juggle state for instance
Juri: something to cross rush (you seeing a pattern yet?)
Law: c.lp>c.lp>c.mp>heavy fury fist>switch cancel
Juri:c.mp>super
I should mention that the aforementioned combo damage scales REALLY FUCKING HARD, but it looks sooooooooo cool <3
Also the thing with EX fury fist for a free super WILL NOT work in the corner. The wall bounce happens to fast to link.

Sounds pretty sexy, I’ll try it once I get out of classes today.
As for synergy between the two I would say it’s probably a good pairing considering Law’s a fucking beast and can easily confirm alot of his stuff into good damage, same as Juri; so god forbid what kind of hell they cna unleash. But I haven’t played the game enough to try out most of the Tekken cast…

It’s a 50/50 kinda thing. Thats why my partner switched to akuma instead. Law is better at starting ridiculous combos and it seems that juri is alot better at following them up but it doesnt really work the other way around, but that’s just me. Also this way my partner Phil can hit hard with Akuma while my Juri sits on Anchor and waits to turn into a fucking tank at a moments notice. Her new combos are so very sexy. And Wolf if your on xbox go ahead and add me if you want. My GT is the same as my SRK name

Is it me or is M Pinwheel safer than L Pinwheel this time around? Both seem unsafe, but M places Juri at a distance that a lot of characters have trouble reaching, from my experience.

What are we using as tag combos into juri?

Might not use Bison in this game, I enter ssf4 tournies and hes so different, even worse his cr lk timing is different and when i switch games im messed up. But juri i can play pretty much the same. She feels like what she should of been in ssf4. I’m very happy they got her right. I’ll always use her in this game.

Technically in SF4 it was the same thing, lk pinwheel was like -9 on crouch block and mk pinwheel was at -8 but pushed them abit more further away. Using that as reference, then probably yes it might be safer…technically.

SHE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST SF CHARACTERS IN THIS GAME. HER PRESSURE NOW IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD. I’m at a loss of words…

Not sure if this has been asked, but since there’s like a rolento army for this game, how do we deal with him?
I was playing online and I was able to get a c. short off a trade, but I was unsure if it was lag or not. His pressure game is way too good :(.

I am loving Juri though, I love how if I think it can juggle with her, it does!

Basically, I try to zone him out with fireballs. If he does get in, don’t bother pushing buttons if he’s just jabbing. It’s +5 on block if he gets the close one so either you have to reversal out or just deal with the jab pressure. If he stops jabbing and goes into the first part of patriot circle that’s -1 on block, so if you throw out a st.lp/lk and he throws out something at the same time you should beat it. Another thing to note is that he doesn’t have an overhead. Also his throws throw you like midscreen so his oki isn’t all that great off that. I don’t think he can even cross you up with his pole vault thing off his throws unless you’re in/near the corner.

On an unrelated to Rolento note, MK pinwheel is godlike for tag cancels. Due to the pushback not only does Juri appear to be 100% safe on block but it also seems like your partner can get free jab pressure on the way in, or a free combo if it hit.

oh she clearly is because all the other SF characters got hit with a nerf wagon, making their normals slower or adding recovery. Juri not only dodge the nerf, but she was buffed.

Been busy lately but sure I’ll add, we’ll have games around 10ish pm my time (central time, due to work) if you’re up for some games

Juri was nerfed in a lot of ways. I liked her pressure in sf4 more. A lot of safe ways to pressure and trap. No fuzzy fireballs, no fuzzy guard, no combos after overhead. No fadc pinwheel.

But what she does have is safe midscreen meter building pressure with huge payoff with super punishes. (kazuya wave dash under mids and eats c.mk xx fireball > super).

She does have an anti air punish that does a great amount of damage (close to 500 damage with super).

She does have jump canceling pressure with an ambiguous jump after it.

She has A really fast overhead (I’m able to hit 2-3 before they change their block)

Huge meterless damage in the corner off of no work (j.hp, c.hp xx fireball > c.hp xx pinwheel doing close to 400 damage no gems).

She gas a million and 1 ways to hit super, with an ambiguous 50/50 off a jump in punish (front or back).

Which do I enjoy more? Sf4 actually. Fse. I miss it I still try and do sweep > store
