Hey guys, I’m in need of some help, I was wondering if someone has an emulator (NOT FBA) that I can use both a cheats file and a TE stick with so I can do some practice. I’ve been looking all day but I can’t seem to find a cheat file for jojo’s for the MameUI64 0.135 version and I can’t use my stick on MAME32++ 
Can you use savestates with MAME32++?
I think you can but I can’t use my stick with MAME32++, even with joy2key 
Once you get settled with which mame version you use. I’ll pm you the updated cheats since Fayk and me have some that are not on mame’s cheat file.

You sure your stick works on other emulators? If it’s a PS3 TE stick and your computer has an AMD processor it wont work period, only 360 TE’s work on both Intel and AMD.
It’s a 360 TE, it works on nFBA/FBA but I have frame/crashing issues with it which isn’t a problem when getting info on what moves look like and what they do but it’s a major problem when I’m trying out combos and trying out move priorities. With MAMEUI64 0.135/0.139 and MAMEFX32 0.132 the games work fine and my stick works but I can’t seem to get any cheats to work (there isn’t even an option to select them when i press tab ingame). Finally with MAME32++ everything works but my stick, even when using joy2key and xpadder (which for some reason doesn’t pick up the trigger inputs :/). So I seem to be pretty much stuck lol, I was going to do a D’bo guide after the Abdul one but now it looks like it’s going to be o hold for a while XD.
Did you try out the other blitters for FBA? I had problems on Windows 7 with the default, but Experimental is amazing.
Abbachio the newer mame uses a different cheat file. Mame++ cheats are different then Mame .13X. the newer ones are xml files in cheat.zip. Also be sure in the mame.ini you have
cheat 1
Edit:Also in mame++ you have to enable the joystick use in the game settings.

Yeah I’ve tried playing around with blitter options before which seem to work (albeit some frame skipping) but as soon as I try to play online (GGPO) BAM! I get random freezin and short crashes
Yeah I did that in mame++ but it just wasn’t having it. MAMEUI64 for some reason isn’t picking up the cheats but mame FX and the regular version are.

How did you get it to work? FBA tells me, “FUCK UUUUU” every time I try to get it to work.
You mean how did I set it to other blitters and not have it crash? Nothing in specific, I’m not sure if there is some sort of hardware/software requirement but I highly doubt it.

Sorry guys, I’ve been busy last week with my birthday weekend. Have to say, I’m still recovering from it all slowly. Now that I am done intoxicating myself, I’ll be on a bit more.

I’m playing more again lately. Rusty as all hell. Think I’m going to play Jotaro only or something though since playing every character just means I suck with everyone instead of being good with one heheh. Even though I have my ports forwarded I STILL have trouble connecting to many people on GGPO. Blah.
Also translating ingame speech stuff for fun for people who don’t know what the characters say. Woooo…

Good to see you back. It was always fun fighting another Joseph, but Jotaro will have to do. 
First I’ve heard of hardedge being down, but it’s looking like it.
GGPO is just ALWAYS a pain, even for people with everything set right. Sometimes it works on the first try, sometimes it takes 10+. I don’t think double-challenges actually ‘do’ anything other than give you a way to try two more times rather quickly, so queue up like 5 challenges and just chew through them.
Worst case, I can make a supercade account or something (ATTN MATT)
