What character(s) are you going to use in your money matches?
Just curious because I still haven’t played JoJo that much yet but if I were to play a money match, I’d probably pick either JoJo or Dio because they’re easy to use and have good rush-down set-ups. Mariah is my favorite character but she’s very low tier and I’m definitely not confident enough to play a serious match with her yet. That’s like me trying to play with Dan in an SF IV money match, lol.
Uh Dio isn’t THAT easy to use…
I play Mariah too and I wouldn’t rather play anyone else. She’s totally capable of winning. Love her playstyle.
Also, which JoJo do you mean? Jotaro? Old Joseph Joestar? Young Joseph Joestar?
I meant Jotaro. I thought people just called him JoJo, lol. I mean he’s on the front cover of the game. I don’t really know much about all the characters and their names. I don’t even know why people call her Mariah when her name is spelled “Mahrahia” in the US port. I understand why the names were changed from the Japanese version but if we’re going to continue calling her Mariah, might as well call her Mariah Carey 'cause Mariah Carey is the shit.
By the way, anybody play this game on 2DF FreePlay? I can’t ever find anybody to play with, which is why I rarely ever play this game. This is why I’m trying so hard to get Agetec sticks and / or Dreamcast-to-PS2 converters just so I can play this with sticks on the actual console, lol. This game is just too fun to not play.
JoJo is the nickname for every protagonist in the series, hence the confusion. Jotaro may be on the covers, but young Joseph is actually really called JoJo in the select screen. :wgrin:

Most of the regular posters in the thread are on GGPO, but a few are on 2DF, like roadapple.
I occasionally show up on 2DF, but prefer GGPO. If you can’t play into GGPO (due to higher system requirements), you can always pop up in the GGPO channel and try to get someone to hop on 2DF!
Just got through with a nice set of matches against some cat, wish I could remeber his name. Need to get Polnareff and Iced skills back up to par.

That was me Lord_Raptor. I just set up GGPO on my good computer so hopefully my games will be a LOT better now. I wish I knew a way to make the resolution better but the computer’s default language is Chinese so I can barely get through the start menu.

What time do you guys usually get on 2DF? I just started playing this game a couple hours ago and the 3 times I played resulted in ragequits. The players on 2DF are such garbage.
