why did it take this long for a grappler to be taken seriously in a crossover game?
having just started working on all three of these characters, I would say Hsien-Ko is the shitty at getting in queen, with She-Hulk getting an easy second place. Haggar seems bad but not outrageously terrible
Alright Haggars,
I need to know…what the fuck do I do to stop him? I feel like I can’t do anything against him and all of his moves are safe on block. The pipe, the dash punch thingy, etc. I feel like none of my characters can do shit once he is inside.
What are his tough match ups you guys think? I hate Haggar now.
Block + pushblock + zone. There you have it.
I notice that when I rush down w/Jesse, sometimes there’s that stalling some ppl do, and dash~pile driver works well, well, for me it has been. try it though. That, and the XF~lv3 is great too.
i love haggar his assist is so good i cant even have a team without him anymore
Does anybody know how to do the extra hits on his punch super? I can’t seem to figure it out.
It’s in this video and his eye shines to confirm that the player did it right.

^Mash buttons really fast.
I get hesitant to do it personally though,I get afraid that I’ll end up pressing all 4 buttons by accident and just waste my X-factor.
Are there any efficient ways of mashing the hits out?
It’s easier on stick to get the red glow, but if you just mash a single button you can get the eye flash without worrying about X-factor.
So I’m starting to think that Haggar is a very “extreme” character. By that I mean Haggar’s bad matches, he loses HARD (beam beam random super more beams missles).
In Haggar’s good match ups, he absolutely steam rolls and basically forces rushdown characters to try and play keep away (which is really bad for them and they won’t win that way if the Haggar is using assists right).
And I don’t really think Haggar has any even matchups either, he either wins big or loses big.
I know Wesker kills me with that counter super vs. pipe. Sadness.
Just wanted to say, using Haggar online with the Lock emblem and the Hammer of Justice title. I find it appropriate.
Also works well with my “Team Street Justice” nonsense.
Some new Haggar technology I found:

Edit:Realised this doesnt work when characters ground tech left or right so this is pretty much useless.Sorry.
guys how do you counter after you block a long string of block stun…im always seem to miss my oportunity or get hammered after i make an attempt to counter…
Agree with above poster. I can’t counter piledriver or jab in many situations. I find it hard to get in offense after succesful blocking sans pushblock -> pipe/lariat or lariat on obvious gaps in pressure
Reminds me of Fuerte in sf4 where there’s nothing you can do but block in certain situations.
There are only 3 options that you will always have. Continue blocking and wait it out, Lariat, or throw. Haggar’s jabs are too slow unless they threw out some really unsafe move. Having assists, meter, or X-Factor gives you a few more options though.
Lariat is the main way to get people off you, but it can be pretty unsafe especially if they can attack under it safely. If you have meter you can DHC out for safety or level 3 for a nice punish. You can XFC for safety or to combo off the Lariat without meter. You can option select throw/lariat by pressing :h: then immediately pressing :s: instead of pressing them at the same time. If they can be grabbed they will be grabbed and if not, Lariat comes out. It takes a bit of practice to get used to doing it that way though.
Throws are the only moves that are fast enough to punish good blockstrings. The problem is you may not be close enough to grab them. Piledriver L and M have more range than your regular grab, but they have some startup and missing means you eat a combo. Piledriver H has less range than your regular grab and 1 startup frame, so I’d only do it if I can’t combo off his regular grab and really want that extra damage. You can use the level 3 super (which has the best range) if you are on point. Another thing about attempting throws is that you can’t throw while crouching, so you may end up getting hit by a low attack trying to throw them.
If you have assists that can help, you can call them during the small gaps in pressure. You can tag out automatically during even th slightest gap by holding the assist button (very risky but it may work). You could also do a Cross-Over Counter which can be canceled into an invincible super. You can XFC the blockstun and punish with Piledriver or w/e. Just keep in mind you both can’t buffer normals/regular throws during the X-Factor freeze and they can’t buffer an XFC during yours.
All things considered, the easiest way to deal with blockstring pressure is pushblocking lol. You probably won’t get a punish, but you probably won’t get punished either. Sometimes that good enough.
yea i think push block is the only way…sucks…
beast haggar on this stream at this tournament
(obviously not constantly, but the stream is tight in the breaks and you’ll want to see him - teamkhaos has the best streams)
Respect the pipe. Haggar with X-Factor is deadly once you get in dat ass.
Also, Piledriver whiffs in the air makes him a beautiful butterfly.
guys how do you handle dive kicks?
Pick an attack button. You only need one. Right after you input super punches, immediatley start mashing that one button, yes that means during startup. Works for me everytime, without fail.
Violent Axe ain’t half bad.
Dive kicks. Ugh. Doom’s is annoying when he has backup
