Ive thrown people out of chicken wings. no way its unthrowable. if it is, its for like a frame because ive seen them start up and (not reacting to it) walk up and 360 them.
I’m thinking that he meant the invincible startup frames on the Chicken Wing. Don’t all of them have invincible startup? Or is it that the stronger it is, the less invincibility it has?
shinblanka seems to think it’s the opposite while decoy (the best blanka I’ve seen besides nohoho) says blanka-fei is 5-5. Take it up with them lol.
Also fatboy did you just say blanka loses to sagat? I think sagat players here exaggerate how bad the matchup is but to go so far to say it’s in sagats favor? I have it as 4.5-5.5 compared to the 3-7 everyone else seems to say:rofl: Just curious why do you feel this way? I give the very slight edge to blanka ONLY because his jump arc is the perfect speed and distance to punish sagat’s limbs on fb recovery without having to do it on reaction! otherwise blanka has no advantage on sagat imo.
I remember reading a post somewhere on here (or maybe Nohoho’s site) that quoted Komoda as saying one of his hardest matchups as Blanka was Sagat. I don’t know much about the matchup myself, but it doesn’t seem likely that the changes made would change the matchup so drastically as to have Blanka winning it.
Sagat’s lowered fb recovery and especially his extended hitbox on his limbs on fb recovery (which were taken from n.sagat NOT o) are pretty big nerfs, the latter of which makes it super easy for blanka to have a bachelor party, rape chunli, go shopping for new ripped shorts, and still have time to jumpin for free on sagat.
But like I said It seems I’m one of the only ones in either the sagat or blanka thread who thinks the matchup is basically even…take that for what it’s worth lol. UD you going to be @ evo? if so should I just look for the hairy jewish dude?
Komoda said it was 8-2 in Sagat’s favor. ST New Sagat, so he already had larger hitboxes on his arms, when firing tiger shots, and a longer recovery on them. But as no one here is as good a Blanka as Komoda is nor no one is as good a N.Sagat player as Yaya is, the expected value for number of wins over a certain number of matches n can be very different when, say, for a Sagat player, 0.8n.
What makes Blanka difficult is his jump speed and J.FK is angled. The high tiger shot is almost worthless against certain blanka styles, especially the ones who turtle and are ducking it anyways. Then if they decide to jump it you got some limbs out there that are really easy to poke it’s so sick. That leaves the low tiger shot and tiger knee for chip damage. The low tiger shot must be zoned properly to be effective, and I don’t think Blanka has much issue with whiffed tiger knees since his blanka ball seems to be able to punish it.
Plus Blanka has better air to air superiority. And the last thing I can think of is Blanka’s slide which can be used to get back in his comfortable zoning range to counter attack Sagat. Do I have trouble with every Blanka like I do Honda or Dictator that is played decently, not really. But the turtlers are the ones who are most dangerous because I can chip chip chip but one hit from Blanka just gained him the advantage. I have to rely on well timed TU and proper spacing to make this match worthwhile.

I have only played the game twice since SF4’s console release. I’m better than nothing, but, I hope someone with a proven track record will agree and disagree with me.
I can’t really claim to be a better Dee Jay, especially in HDR; I haven’t played much of that lately either, but rather than going off to SF4, I’ve gone back to ST. So keeping that in mind, I did look over your list, and though a few of your matchups sound a little off to me, I have to admit that ST could be clouding my judgment on those.
The only one that I can confidently disagree on is Honda, which I think is even further in Dee Jay’s favor than 6-4. Not drastically better than that, but I’d call it either 6.5/3.5 or straight 7-3 Dee Jay. I remember when I first read your post way back when you made it, I actually agreed with you, thinking it was Dee Jay’s favor, but a tough fight. Once I got used to the changes made to Honda in HDR though, it became much less of a daunting fight, and one where I can screw around a bit and still pull out wins fairly consistently. Dee Jay can just answer anything that Honda throws at him. There is the odd Honda player out there who still beats me (and not just because I get overconfident against Honda), but even against those, I feel like the win was well within my grasp.
On a side note, I play Cammy as my secondary, and there are times when I’ve started fights against Honda as Cammy with that same sort of confidence, and been straightened out right quickly.

Claw was a clear counter to guile in classic st…a better flashkick isn’t going to change that and fake walldive actually helps bait out those rh flashes so this is still a terrible matchup for guile.
Claw beat dj at least 6-4 from the japanese matchup charts (someone else confirm) virtually nothing has changed.
claw beats shotos but goes even with sagat? If anything he has an even bigger advantage over sagat then he does shotos because his limbs on fb recovery are easier to punish with dive so this matchup is 6-4 or 5.5-4.5 for claw.
Actually the first weekend HDR came out I played on my little brothers account. I was 3 points away from the 1st spot by the end of the weekend. I used Blanka exclusively. I was about the take the spot against MongolRobo but , it came down to round five. He was in the corner, I jumped in for a j.lk > st. strong > bite… To his credit he busted out a super FTW btween the strong and the bite… and that was that.
Those who know, know I have a very solid Blanka. 
I would love to play you anytime to check out how solid that Blanka is then. Sorry to call you out on that, but I have just known you to always be a SIM player not a Blanka player not to say you can’t learn him, but to say you know alot about Blanka is different than saying you know how to play him.
