In the DGV vs Daigo match, I noticed they were both doing a lot of Fake Hadokens, but my impression was that neither player was being faked out by it. If you do it too much tho, you risk getting hit by a fireball or a Spinning Knuckle or a Fierce Torpedo. Fake Hadoken is not that powerful IMO.

Maybe not that powerful against other projectile characters.

I still think it would give Ryu an edge though.

CR Roundhouse xx Fake is faster than just CR Roundhouse by 8 frames or so. I haven’t figured if there are spots where it makes a big difference.

I won’t change my mind that this newest incarnation isn’t low mid until someone comes along and starts pwing the better HDR players. His nerfs make him the worst FB char imo and he, by his very nature (moveset), becomes predictable and a jump in against him most often hurts (his defense/offense vs a jump in is the worst out of the FBers). He then has trouble getting people off him. His jumping S/RH over and over into s SK, into various mindgames, is the best technique i’ve seen him played with, but that was really only working against me because I was playing Sim and Dict.

Sagat is good. Although he’s no longer a dominating tiger shot machine (even so, he can still match projectiles with Ryu), the tiger knee juggle is a damaging poke and effective at moving the opponent to the corner.

Jamiejame in response to you saying you don’t think ryu is even a slightly advantageous matchup for sagat look at these matches it’s clear because he wins fb wars he forces ryu to commit to risky jumpins so anticipating that inevitability puts it SLIGHTLY in his favor. Also as ganelon said tk is a good poke.

Keep in mind I’m at 2 big disadvantages: using a 360 pad facing fuckin jumpsuit a wayyyyyyyyy better player then me (though that’s not saying much lol) and most players on xbl.

I actually play better when I’m drunk. Thing is that I play way too conservatively, and not conservatively in a good way. I usually find myself blocking a whole match sometimes and just dying.

Course, when I’m drunk I do things I normally would be too scared to do. ~Shrug.~

EDIT: I also tend to not flow very well and think too much. When I’m drunk I just flow with it. Like Bruce Lee/Fei Long says “Be water my friend.”
