Lots of people are saying they “clearly” see Decapre in the trailer, yet I fail to catch any glimpse of her. Would anyone care to link me to a screenshot?
You mean he coloured Kinu’s lines? Interesting.
At 00:47, reflection in cammy eye, clearly matches Decapre design from the SF5 dolls concept art:

Bison? More like ‘bye sun.’

Oh crap, just thought of this…guys, remember how we were debating about the place on Necalli’s art – whether it was India or Mexico and a few of you sleuths determined it to be India? Look at yesterday’s footage! His arrival there is gonna be significant!
I was waiting for Daemos to start gloating over it. (Ha! In my face!)
We’re fucked.
A proper God needs a proper Devil, I’d say…

Artistically, I’m not satisfied with SFV. I don’t like the re-usage of the SF4 art style but that’s not the main point; The character art, and the ingame prologue artwork just don’t look great, especially compared to the artwork made for say, MvC3 or something else.
I agree!!
Which I find most unfortunate. This just makes me think of mediocre Japanese RPG’s artwork.
I find the artwork is just not up to par with a main game release of this magnitude. The person who did the art for the official guide or Stanley Lau, who worked for SFIII OE, would have been better choice imo for this new era where Capcom plans to go full e-sports and attract wider audiences. This weebo looking stuff is not gonna cut it.

I vigorously asked for the return of Bengus to SF for almost a decade. I would never guess he would come with this crappy style =(
Oh well, that’s life.
One of those monkey paw style wishes.
Don’t know who this Bengus dude is but seriously not at all impressed by his art in SF5.

Most of the artistic works you’ve seen in your life, from comic books to videogames to a deviantart page, are inspired by this Bengus dude.

So, it’s Bison’s (and Shadaloo’s) biggest plot yet… I never thought I would see a Bison stronger than his Alpha 3 iteration, but what do I know?! Tears will be streaming down my face while I’m having pop corn for the downfall of the organization of my childhood!
Yeah but Capcom has confirmed that Necalli is Aztec. So it’s a wash
Quote from Combofiend regarding story mode art
“Each story has been illustrated by renowned Japanese illustrator, Bengus, who worked on a variety of Capcom titles in the past. I think you’ll find his colorful, throwback style fits perfectly with the background tales we want to tell about each character.”

the reaction is this…
There’s no doubt if he’s Aztec or not. The argument was about the buildings in the background of his artwork, if it was Indian temples or the Templo Mayor in Mexico City.
I remember wondering if Necalli will be facing off against Dhalsim, in India (if the artwork was in India, which seems to be confirmed). In the trailer Necalli is first seen in the Mumbai (India) stage. He roars at a cop, knocking him down. Dhalsim appears, ready to defend the cop. Ryu is there too, but he’s experiencing a short blue screen of death before taking up his fighting stance.
He’s the man who drew my childhood.

Wow, he has gotten worse, for sure…
I like these images. For Chun-Li, I was really curious to why that little girl she rescued from 3S is present. And since the story takes place between IV and III, it’s going to be very interesting to see Chun-Li and the girl’s relationship develop with Chun-Li. How did they meet? Was she an orphan that Chun-Li found, saw something in her and decided to take her in as her own? Maybe the girl is interested in becoming a fighter like Chun-Li is.
I’m pretty sure that particular scene is gonna take place somewhere near the middle/end of the story mode. I’m assuming that they are gonna show Police/Alpha Chun-Li first and hw Shadaloo killed her father. But seeing the girl be a part of the storyline game is really interesting.
As for Ken, driving Eliza? This one is harder. I’m assuming that they have had their kid, but it’s probably still just a baby (given the timeline). So I would imagine that he is driving her home from the hospital? Kinda surprised why he’s still wearing his fighting outfit, but it’s SF, they can wear it at anywhere and none would question it. I’m guessing, in regards to development, Ken starts to wonder if his lifestyle (traveling and fighting) is really gonna have a negative impact on his family, so maybe he’s at a crossroad to figure out what he has to do next in his life.
Hope there are more story images. More speculation and theories.
